These Brides Wore Matching Black Jumpsuits at their Seattle Elopement

Get ready for an overwhelming amount of cuddles! Sarah & Kate traveled to Seattle to say “I do” in style. They wore matching black jumpsuits for their ceremony! I love intimate weddings and how the small nature of them allows couples to really focus on being present on the day of the wedding. The couple isn’t being pulled in different directions by caterers, well-intentioned family members, or a timeline that keeps moving along even if they need a break. Sarah, Kate & I started our day in Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood for some wonderful engagement-style portraits. They wanted to captu ..read more

You’ve got to check out this entire adorable elopement, captured in a private ceremony at the Schafer Baillie Mansion B&B in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood. This was one of the most memorable wedding days of my 2023 season and I couldn’t have had more fun. When this couple first inquired and I learned that both partners’ names are Shoshana I was smitten with them! Lovingly nicknamed Sho and Shosh, this gorgeous duo traveled from the east coast to elope in Seattle. It was an honor to help them plan their trip out this way along with their elopement day itself, topped off by the privile ..read more

Check out ALLLLLL the color jam packed into Dominique & Victor’s wonderful wedding at Melrose Market Studios in Seattle! This wedding was so fulfilling to document thanks to all of the personal touches incorporating Vince’s Latin American heritage, the couple’s Jewish ceremony under the chuppah, the groom’s love of dinosaurs and the bride’s classic wedding style accented by a colorful embroidered veil. You MUST see the veil! Or is it a cape? Either way I could have photographed this bride and her impeccable bridal ensemble for hours. Peep the red heels to match the red flowers in her veil ..read more

University of Washington Cherry Blossom Festival Elopement at Sunrise

One of my most memorable elopement experiences this past year was getting up before the sun to meet a bride of mine at the end of her hair and makeup appointment, drive to the elopement location, and hold their intimate wedding ceremony all before sunrise during the cherry blossom festival at Seattle’s University of Washington campus! The gorgeous cherry blossom trees that fill UW’s quad made for an epic ceremony location but their popularity during peak bloom means that it is an absolute madhouse to try and see the trees if you aren’t there before the crack of dawn. Thankfully, Monica & D ..read more

When I first got in touch with Leah & Ysaac they told me about their sweet plans to elope somewhere in nature with just a handful of friends that would fly in to enjoy an intimate celebration with them. One of my favorite things about elopements is the very intentional intimacy. This couple focused on the most important people in their lives as well as what they truly wanted in a wedding - not what tradition or family pressure may or may not dictate. We were so happy when they contacted our team at the Seattle Elopement Package since we got to help coordinate their vendor team as well as p ..read more

There are memorable weddings and then there are epically-memorable weddings. Feature the Woodland Park Zoo as your venue, add in a ceremony in a breathtaking rose garden, mix in encounters with ball pythons, tigers and tapirs, then cap the night off with karaoke and you’ve got yourself an epically-memorable wedding for sure! When Melanie & Nate shared their vision with me over Zoom I felt like I was going to fall out of my chair I was so excited for this wedding. My husband and I had karaoke at our own wedding but since then I’ve only gotten to photograph karaoke at weddings a couple times ..read more

While prepping this blog post for Ly & Steven’s elopement in Pioneer Square I was shocked to see that my last blog post went live in August 2020. How is that possible!? I went a year and a half without blogging. Eek! Despite the pandemic, beautiful weddings happened in droves last year and I was busier than ever. (Definitely contributing to why I failed to find time for blog writing!) At the end of 2020 it became clear to me that elopements, “micro-weddings”, and smaller events were not going to be a short term trend but instead a large chunk of the wedding world going forward. And I’m so ..read more

Point Defiance Park Engagement Photos | Liz and Elliott

My first trip to Point Defiance Park for romantic engagement photography was AMAZING! Liz & Elliott were on a time crunch due to Elliott’s military service and they had exactly ONE day in February that would work for a shoot but we couldn’t have lucked out with better conditions. Despite being the middle of winter we had dry weather (until five minutes before we wrapped up) and enjoyed the beautiful views along the water at Point Defiance as well as inside the forest within the park. I could have easily photographed this sweet couple allllll day long. I love help ..read more

2020 sure has been a doozy. With the understandable restrictions being placed on weddings in Washington state, elopements and Seattle elopement photography have become much more popular this summer. I love photographing elopements all over Washington state and have also traveled to other states and countries to capture elopement photography for some amazing couples. I believe elopements and small, intimate weddings will still be just as popular in 2021. Planning an elopement may take a little creativity when it comes to timing and location since there are so many incredible spots out there, ma ..read more

Maui Volcano Anniversary Photography at Haleakala National Park

Maui is one of my favorite places in the world for engagement sessions and portrait photography. There is so much besides pretty beaches. Maui’s got waterfalls, jungles, dramatic cliff sides, lava fields and one of the coolest places ever - Haleakala National Park. I’ve been to Haleakala National Park several times, so on a recent trip to Hawaii I was committed to planning a gorgeous portrait session at the summit of the volcano at sunset. I was put in contact with Mitch and Megan through a friend of a friend and discovered they’d be on the island at the same time as me and they were excited t ..read more
