Hello everyone. It's me again, the author of the CFL - Storeman comic strip. After having it suggested to me several times, I started posting my comic on Instagram. I had to adapt my strips a bit, but it turned out better than I thought.
If anyone's interested.

Found all this in a barn, decent quality. Apparently it’s been sitting at the farm for at least 25 years, it was gifted by someone who’s son was in the army years ago. The panels are 10’x4’, there’s 17 all together including 2 door panels. They’re roughly 150lbs and appear to be insulated. There was no hardware and there’s 1” holes at the top/down the sides of them. Has anyone seen one of these before or knows anything else to help out figure out what hardware is needed to complete the build? The notches done line up to fit them together and there’s interesting numbering/tagging on each p ..read more

Anyone know if it’s possible to get a wavier for being half deaf? I can hear perfect out of my right ear. I don’t really mishear people anymore then the average person since I’m used to it now but I can’t pass the hearing test and get an H2 level. Nearly All of the trades medical standards are H3 level which I can pass. Any one know anyone who’s gotten though with a similer situation? It’s pretty frustrating knowing I can pass the trade test but am blocked by the universal one.

How does the small arms designation system work?
I assumed it was like the British system (as opposed to the American one) where every small arm is one series, and thus: C1: FAL C2: FAL MG C3: Parker-Hale M82 C4: not sure C5: M1919A4 C6: MAG C7: the AR C8: the carbine C9: Minimi And so on.
BUT then I read about the C1 SMG. How are there two C1s? Am I wrong, and different weapon series each have their own numbering like the American system?

I am 48, M living in Quebec City
I have been thinking about joining the forces for a few years now. Now, I just lost my job in Marketing, I feel the timing is perfect and would like to explore the possibility of applying for a job as a Financial Services Administrator. Non-Commissioned Member |Part Time. The job is on the forces canada website.
If I apply for this position, even if it is administrative, part time does that mean I am officially part of the military?
I am divorced, I have 2 children and I can't move to another city, in part time I don't have to move to a new city?

I am just wondering, if Canada ended up going to war, would someone be in a better position if they were a reservist versus someone who gets conscripted?
