I was at my insurance broker yesterday to review my coverage and I asked offhand if they had a veterans discount. The broker said he didn’t know but he went online and had a look and it turns out that they do. I’m saving about $100 a month. I’m with The Cooperators but I’m sure that other Insurance companies offer this too. That’s a house and two vehicles.

Can a unit implement a "no EE rule" for competencies?
BIs can be EE as long as the competencies don't reach EE, meaning the other BIs must be reduced to E or PE to ensure that happens.

Hey guys, I thought I posted this last week but I guess it didnt go through.
If you're on a medical pension, and you have a seasonal civilian job, can you still collect EI while collecting VAC pension and off for the winter?
Hope someone has experience in this to help

This is my first deployment and ive never left North America before. What should i expect on my first deployment/deployment to the UK? What are the living conditions like? Do i need to plan to get a sim card while im there or is the Wifi on the base enough? Is there a huge culture difference between Canada and that part of the UK? Is there anything i should absolutely bring with me that will make life easier? Any insight is appreciated!

I've(RegF) been invited to an Honours and Awards function to receive an award, not sure what it is. Dress is N1As for military, business for civilians. I'm currently on LOA-Parental and will be for the function. Is there any sort of loophole where I don't have to wear my uniform? Does the "Authorized to wear uniform while on leave Y/N" section of the leave pass actually mean anything? For context I don't particularly care for the dog and pony show around this function and am only interested in going if I can wear something comfortable. Thanks

I am a civilian so I dont know much about this.
I've searched it up and learned about the national sentry program but I don't really understand.
How is a person selected to guard it? Is it volunteer based and what do you have to do in your military career to be able to guard it? Do you need a certain amount of time in or certain rank?

Hey everyone, I’m a reservist and I’m being posted to NAVRESHQ in QC City this summer for almost 4 months. I’ll be staying in Pointe-à-Carcy Residence (it’s in the port next to old Quebec). Does anyone know if there’s a gym I can go to nearby that’s free for military members? If there is none, I’d appreciate some tips for what to do as well when there.
