Musée Yves Saint Laurent Paris, home to Yves Saint Laurent throughout his career, was a must feature in our eyes! We couldn’t look past the intentional construction of this exhibit, “Shapes and Forms”, by German designer, Claudia Weiser. This museum displays not only the art of Yves Saint Laurent but the design work of artist Claudia Wieser who is known for her installations and extraordinary sense of space and setting. No details were missed in the deliberate display of fashion. Her interpretation of Yve’s work was transformed into a modern and immersive experience bringing color, form, line ..read more

When we were hired as the interior design team for Sonora, a new inner-city development, we couldn’t pass on an opportunity where inclusive design was understood and valued. Opening in Austin, TX, Sonora is a new multi-unit residential project, as featured in Austin Business Journal and is the perfect of example of a collaboration that benefits the buyer.  Developers haven’t always leaned on interior designers, as they primarily relied on architects to carry out the entire design. However, as the demand for high-end luxury design has increased, more and more developers have found them ..read more

If you enjoy at-home entertaining, your well-stocked liquor cabinet may need an upgrade. More and more homes are incorporating built-in bars and we’re a huge fan of it! Though bars are typically small in size, with the right design they can make a large statement. The location of an at home-bar is versatile, but typically we recommend positioning them near the heart of the home – between the formal dining room and kitchen. This makes the most sense when it comes to the flow of a gathering and most importantly for the sake of convenience. We recommend strategically placing your bar where the fi ..read more

Written by Douglas Briggs When doing renovations on your property, there are two categories of renovations you can do: cosmetic upgrades which improve the appearance of the home versus upgrades that enhance the property’s functions. Cosmetic renovations have a “wow” effect and they are more popular because visitors can easily see the changes. Functional upgrades are not nearly as visible but essential. Fashion design and interior design, both passions of mine, have been a part of my life since I can remember. I was fortunate to have studied design and architecture in college leading me into my dream career. One of the things I enjoy most is being able to create a personalized story through design for each new client I meet. There is a striking similarity in the way fashion design and interior design guide self expression. Both involve studying lifestyle, trends, sketching designs and experimenting with fabric and color combinations. There is an obvious connection between how people dress and ..read more
