Some Independent ATM Deployers (IADs) have run across challenges in rural areas with banks closing IAD bank accounts or not being willing to work with IADs in the first place. Two U.S. Senators have reintroduced the Cash Payment Act to the Senate. Senators Bob Menendez (D-New Jersey and Kevin Cramer (R-North Dakota) reintroduced the Senate version of the bill, which was introduced into the House of Representatives by Democratic Representative Donald Payne.
