Continuing on with our French Modern Project Reveal, today we are focusing on the living room and guest bathroom. The living room design mirrors the back kitchen wall conceptually, from the centered plaster fireplace opposite the plaster vent hood, to the two-toned cabinets in both rooms. This thought process applies to the two oversized lanterns as well. There is one over the the living room and one over the breakfast nook area. When it came to choosing a paint color, we wanted a consistent foundation throughout the home, opting for a warm shade of white, Sherwin Williams White Flour ..read more

This week's Five Friday Favorites is all about our trip to 30A in Florida. One of the most important ways I gather inspiration and recharge is through travel. It doesn't matter if it's a quick day trip or a week long stay, I'm always soaking in the change of scenery and admiring those design & architectural details. We headed to Rosemary Beach in FL and even managed a quick New Orleans trip as well. Here are five of my favorite things from our trip: 1. Alys Beach. There are so many beautiful places to stay along 30A but this was probably my favorite community we passed through. The archite ..read more

We are so excited to give you an inside glimpse into our home today, and share some of our personal choices for window treatments. This question comes up quite a bit during our in-home consultations: "What do you recommend for window treatments?" So much depends on the specific windows in your home. The simple answer is plush linen draperies, linen roman shades, or a minimal solar shade. A lot depends on the aesthetic you are trying to create. Drapes tend to feel more romantic and traditional. Roman shades have the same feel, except they are slightly more minimal. Solar shades have a modern f ..read more
