I've recently upgraded from the Z Flip 3 to the Open and it has been an absolute joy to use!
I prefer a fairly light case that does not add much bulk to the phone, so I ruled out the ones with hinge protection. I ultimately decided to get this one from AliExpress:
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003985011140.html?spm=a2g0o.order_detail.order_detail_item.3.2842f19cav1wsB
The pros and cons of the case are as follows: + Lightweight + Raised edges for protection around the front screen and camera bump + Doesn't flex as much as the OEM case
Tempered glass screen protector does not fit wi ..read more

My Open automatically runs at 60hz when I turn on power saving, but my 7 Pro didn't used to do that. I can't find a switch in the settings, anyone have any idea how to get it to stay at 120hz?

I've been waiting for the OnePlus 12 to upgrade for a while. I live in China and it's out here. In the past, I've bought them here, taken them to the OnePlus shop where they flash the international OS (Oxygen). It's worked for me in the past. I saw a post saying that the Chinese version would not have some functions even with Oxygen loaded. What would I miss out on? I'd love to have it for my Christmas travels.

I pre-ordered the phone on the launch day itself and been using it since 28th Oct.
Treated it like a baby so far, then on Monday 4th Dec I noticed something poking out of the screen. This is right center where the hinge is. Could be a dust particle or something with the hinge itself. And then the scary thing happened. As I was using it, that poke turned into a dead pixel and started a complete green line / dead pixels to the right.
I have raised a RMA with OnePlus support and sent the device back today. Let's see what happens from here.
Again, I have never treated a phone so carefully ti ..read more

Is this considered normal after using my device for about a year or so? I know SD Gen 1 is pretty bad in terms of efficiency but do Insta, Youtube and Whatsapp really drain that much battery?

I didn't find any information about the protection for the display of CE3. Neither Gorilla glass, nor the Dragontrail used on Nord3 or even Nord ce3 lite.
Does the phone lack any sort of protection for the display? It doesn't even seem to have atleast the protection used for the ce3 lite version.

All other phones I've used before require the screen to at least be turned on before NFC payments go through. But I realized my OP11 NFC payments work even when the screen is off.
How to change this?

Take a screenshot of your screen daily for 15-20 days. And then open Photos app and start viewing them one by one.
You will see that status bar icons of Battery, Network, Wifi etc keep shifting Left - Right, Top - Bottom every 2-3 days to prevent screen burn in from occuring.
(You will see the difference if you are viewing a screenshot and you touch the display, then the current UI status bar icons will overlap on the ones from screenshot, so you will be able to see their relative position and the shift).
I knew that Samsung did this Pixel Shifting. But didn't know OnePlus did it as well. Goo ..read more
