Nestled in the heart of the East Bay, this Spanish style historic estate serves as an enchanting and tranquil backdrop, and felt like the perfect fit for Jessica and Aravind's wedding day. The bride and groom shared that they liked how the Spanish style was a nod to Jessica’s roots. And the spacious nine acres gave plenty of options for the various locations throughout the day, and so many beautiful places to take photos! The venue gets such a beautiful golden hour! We planned the First Look for our couple under the Portico, giving them a bit of privacy but it also create a beautiful fr ..read more

Planning a wedding in the midst of a pandemic is a challenge, which is definitely an understatement! Jennifer and Jamir had many hurdles but this lovely couple maintained a clear focus on their wedding day goals, and although their wedding wasn’t what they had initially planned, it came together wonderfully with beauty, fun, and love. The two got engaged on January 1, 2020. They immediately began the process of finding and securing a venue. They selected an east bay venue for a fall wedding date, and paid the deposit. Then several weeks later the Bay Area went into shelter-in-place, and the w ..read more

The ceremony was breathtaking! Julia and Matt are both from the Bay Area and met pretty much at birth! Their parents are close friends, and so the two grew up interacting with frequent family gatherings. Their wedding website has a pretty spectacular photo of the two of them as toddlers, holding hands, both looking a little unsure. But the romance between them blossomed much later in their early twenties. The speeches and stories shared by their families at dinner were pretty magnificent! The couple, now based in the Santa Cruz mountains, were searching for an all outdoor wedding venue. And t ..read more

I am continuously reminded about how lucky we are to live in the beautiful Bay Area. I get to work with awesome couples and in natural locations that are truly unique. Julianne and Will are no exception. The two planned an intimate and meaningful ceremony amongst the pristine redwoods of Muir Woods, followed by a classy and cozy reception at Willow Camp, Stinson Beach. It’s not often you get both forest and beach in the same wedding day! They chose their date on the summer solstice, and so we took in all the gorgeous sunlight filtering in through the tall trees during their ceremony, and the l ..read more

Jessica and Luther are health care workers who first met while working at a clinic one block from San Francisco City Hall. So when they got engaged and it came time to pick a wedding venue, City Hall was an easy choice! Views of the Ferry Building and the Bay Bridge from the Hyatt Regency Embarcadero. The day of their wedding arrived, and it was a crisp and sunny November morning, with stunning views of San Francisco from their hotel suite at the Hyatt Regency Embarcadero. Before their City Hall nuptials, they prepared an intimate Chinese tea ceremony with their parents and a few family membe ..read more

I first met Kimberly and Barnett when they were guests at this San Francisco wedding. It’s been so fun to photograph this group of friends and their weddings! Two things are for sure, they all have a great sense of their style, and they absolutely know how to properly celebrate with friends and family! The bride Kimberly is also designer, and when we first chatted, she described her vision for their wedding, along with sharing a visual mood board. When their wedding day arrived, their vision was fully realized: it was modern, with a clean design, understated, with touches of teal, and a palm t ..read more

California was just reopening in June of 2021, and after a full year postponement, Madeline and Chris were finally able to have a spectacular wedding and celebration on a sunny Lake Tahoe summer day! The couple lives on the east coast, with their fluffy golden retriever, Remy. Remy was their honorary flower girl (from afar). With family and friends traveling in different parts of the country, this was a true destination wedding, planned by talented Sandy of Strings and Champange Events. The West Shore Cafe is also an Inn, so much of the family’s accommodations were conveniently right there at ..read more

“Come to our house.” San Francisco couple Jess and Sean told me they were looking for a venue that would have the feel of inviting guests over to their home, with classic San Francisco charm and elegance. Of course, this is if your home is an opulent 6000 square foot historic masterpiece! The couple really made the Penthouse Suite feel cozy and inviting for their guests, with all the luxurious amenities one might expect at the Fairmont. The Penthouse suite is an architectural marvel: a mix of eastern and western influences that was built in the Roaring Twenties. Sitting right on top of Nob Hil ..read more

In these pandemic times, moving your newborn session from inside your home to the outdoors can be done! With a little bit of planning, we can get gorgeous images of your new family. I met sweet little baby Selma this past fall when she was about a month old. We found a secluded location in the Presidio of San Francisco, in the late afternoon for that golden magic hour light. So how can you plan for an outdoor newborn session? Here are some tips. Pack a large duffel bag with: • A neutral colored blanket to lay on the ground. Don’t worry if it’s not waterproof. We can layer it with another picn ..read more
