Spring Family Session at Filoli Historic House & Garden Filoli Historic House & Garden in Woodside is one of the most beautiful places for a family session. In the spring months (especially April and May), there are tons of flowers in bloom making it an amazing backdrop for photos. Pier 7 Family Session This Pier 7 family session was shot in January on a beautiful and sunny morning in San Francisco. We started on the pier which has a really beautiful view of the city as well as the Bay Bridge. I’ve done a few different sessions here and I’ve found that I prefer the morning as the evenings can get a little busy. After that we walked over to the Ferry Building to take some shots there. San Jose Newborn Session This San Jose newborn session was one of my favorites. We had done maternity photos a few months earlier and it was great to see them again for these special photos. They had lots of good lighting in their home so I was able to shoot on film and we also used their backyard for some more images. Usually for newborn photos we shoot inside but I love when we can get some outdoor images in as well for a little variety. You don’t have to have a huge yard, just a little bit of open shade. City Hall & Palace of Fine Arts Wedding This City Hall & Palace of Fine Arts wedding was such a beautiful day to be a part of. We started at City Hall for their small ceremony with friends and family in the rotunda. If you’re considering getting married here, the rotunda is where they hold the ceremonies, unless you’re renting out one of the other larger spaces. Maternity Session at Baker Beach I loved this sunset maternity session at Baker Beach in San Francisco. Baker Beach is definitely my most popular location for photos since it has the iconic Golden Gate Bridge in the background. Even though it’s usually chilly here, it’s one of my favorite places to take pictures. It’s worth the cold when we get a sunset like we did on this evening. Mission San Francisco Solano & Scribe Winery Wedding If you’re looking for a beautiful wedding venue in northern California, check out this Scribe Winery Wedding in Sonoma. This wedding was intimate and charming and though I don’t like to play favorites, this wedding was certainly a highlight for me.
