Can we talk about how amazing this classic garden wedding at Los Altos History Museum is? Featured on Magnolia Rouge, this classic and romantic wedding was planned by Events by Satra for Christina and CJ at the charming Los Altos History Museum right in the middle of Silicon Valley. When Christina and CJ were thinking about their wedding design, they wanted to make choices that they’d be happy with years from now. They landed on a soft blue and ivory color palette, colors that felt very timeless to them. They were also inspired by the beautiful flowers and garden-like feel of the Los Altos His ..read more

Palo Alto Engagement Session at Arizona Cactus Garden
Alice Che Blog

Despite living on Stanford campus for four years, until this Palo Alto engagement session last February, I had only been to the Arizona Cactus Garden once! Funnily enough, it was actually for a photography course I took during undergrad and I still remember taking a macro photo of a caterpillar on a cactus there. I didn’t see any caterpillars this time, but the sweetest little pup did make an appearance during Nikki and James’ engagement session at the Cactus Garden. Nikki and James live down in Southern California, but Nikki’s parents live up in the Bay, so we scheduled their engagement photo ..read more

Elegant Campovida Wedding Inspiration with the most incredible florals
Alice Che Blog

Originally featured on Ruffled, this elegant Campovida wedding editorial was inspired by the dress from Shop Gossamer, with its beautiful blue-gray color, the gorgeous flutter sleeves and lovely beading. From there, we loved the idea of adding butter yellow to the color palette and having touches of blue incorporated throughout the design in an elegant way. When it came to picking a venue, we all fell in love with Campovida immediately. It is a breathtaking wedding venue up in Mendocino County surrounded by vineyards and incredible locations for portraits everywhere you turn. We knew we wanted ..read more

Colorful, multicultural Palo Alto wedding

Radha and Razi’s colorful, multicultural Palo Alto wedding was filled with bright, bold colors and celebrated both of their cultures. They had not one, but two, ceremonies! They started with a Jewish ceremony to honor Razi’s heritage and followed with an Indian ceremony to honor Radha’s. It was a beautiful fusion of two ancient cultures to celebrate their love for each other, with everything from the traditional breaking of the glass during the Jewish ceremony to the tossing of the rice during the Indian ceremony. Radha and Razi met in college at their campus’ rock climbing gym. Climbing has b ..read more

Amy and Dan first met at UC Berkeley, where Dan was doing his PhD. After a few years, Amy moved to Philadelphia to study at UPenn… which is where /Dan/ did his undergrad! They’ve been long distance for a few years now, but it’s clear that their relationship is still as strong as ever. We had so much fun wandering the coastal hills and black sand beaches of the Marin Headlands. I am so in love with these Bay Area engagement photos and am so excited to share them with you! Amy specifically mentioned that one of the things she loved about my work was my use of light, color and rays of sunlight, s ..read more

You may recognize Bobby and Aly from their lovely Foothills Park engagement session from last January! Bobby and Aly are incredibly sweet and genuine people and I was so grateful they trusted me to photograph their wedding. With gorgeous all-white florals, the prettiest dress and heir wedding in the redwoods of Saratoga Springs was such a dream!  One of the most rewarding things as a wedding photographer is to be completely trusted by your couples. It was so wonderful working with Bobby and Aly because they one hundred percent trusted me to be the expert when it came to photography. They ..read more

New Branding for Alice Che Photography!!

I’m so excited to share my new branding and website with you all! 2019 was a huge year of growth for me and I feel like I really honed in on my style. Falling in love with shooting film was definitely a big part of figuring out my style and as the months went by, I realized my old website and logo (all done by me before I even started photographing weddings!!) didn’t represent me and my brand well. I’ve always been a little hesitant about hiring someone for branding, but I reached out to Jacki of Foil & Ink after seeing the beautiful work she did on Prim Event Studio’s branding and website ..read more

Gorgeous engagement session on rolling hills under oak trees

As I was driving to this session, I was anxiously watching the clouds roll in. Of course, I will photograph in any weather, but I have to admit that my very favorite type of light is the golden light an hour or so before sunset… and it’s always a bit of a bummer when the clouds roll in and hide the sun! Luckily, when we arrived, there was a bit of sun peeking out of the clouds, so I stopped K & D at the very first oak tree we saw, thinking it might be the only sun we got at the entire session. They looked so incredibly dapper in a suit and lovely long sleeved dress, and I knew immediately ..read more

Rodeo Beach Engagement Photos | Alice Che Photography

The San Francisco Bay Area is filled with beautiful photo-worthy locations, but Rodeo Beach might be one of my favorites! I love the variety that I can offer to my clients in just one location, though it definitely takes a bit of hiking. Usually the exercise is welcome because Rodeo Beach can also be extremely chilly, even in the middle of June. Funnily enough, this session was in mid-November and it was the warmest it’s ever been for me. We had to do a bit of scrambling to get up the hill, but it gave us such a breathtaking view of the beach below, that it was definitely worth it! The session ..read more
