The leaves rustle softly in the wind and streams of sunshine shine through them creating a beautiful glow. The trees line a white gravel path, and at the end of the path is the Frederiksborg castle. Julie and Mikkel walk hand-in-hand along the path, smiling at each other. Julie and Mikkel’s wedding was a wedding fit for royals. The day started with Julie, her mom, sister and all her bridesmaids. They got ready together and celebrated the start of the day with champagne and lots of smiles and laughs. Once Julie was ready her dad arrived for a first look, and it was so sweet. After the church ce ..read more

A Rainy Day Wedding Day Brings Luck As I was location scouting around Sct. Bendts church in Ringsted in the hours before the wedding, the skies broke open and rain started pouring down! I pulled up the hood on my raincoat and ran into the church, crossing my fingers that the rain would soon stop. As I stood in the church I marvelled at the gorgeous architecture. What a gorgeous and historical church to get married in! The rain soon stopped, but would continue to make an appearance on and off throughout the entire day. In Denmark there is a saying that rain on a wedding day brings luck. If that ..read more

A Romantic Paris Engagement Photoshoot with a Vespa Scooter

Not many things are more romantic and fun than an engagement photoshoot in Paris. Except maybe an engagement photoshoot in Paris on a Vespa. It is always so special when my couples choose to incorporate elements into their shoots that truly captures their energy and personality. Sometimes this means bringing their dog with them to a shoot, photographing at a cafe or setting up a picnic on the beach, and sometimes it means renting a Vespa in Paris. I absolutely loved getting to capture this gorgeous Paris engagement! We started the session at Rue de l’Université, right by the Eiffel Tower. The ..read more

The ground was glistening. All morning it had been raining, and it had left the ground, the chateau and everything surrounding with a beautiful glistening wet. The green of the grass and trees were even brighter than usual, and a fresh scent of newness hung in the air. Arheely and Maxime walked hand in hand through this scene, smiling at each other. They had just arrived at Chateau Bourron after saying “Yes” to each other at the nearby church in Fontainebleau. In the back of the chateau all their friends and family were waiting to celebrate their union. They pulled each other tight, shared a k ..read more

Feeling Comfortable and at Home in Your Body for Pictures

I have lived in 4 different countries, and have moved over 20 times in my life. The nomad lifestyle and travel has been an integral part of who I am as early as I can remember. Although I have many places that I consider myself to be a local, and many places I love to visit, I don’t have one specific place in the world that I feel like I can truly call “home.” Home is . . . It is often said that the true meaning of home is shaped by the people around you, but I would argue that home isn’t shaped by the people around you, but rather the true essence of home exists within you! Your body is your ..read more

A soft pastel and dusty blue color palette, extravagant florals, flowy dresses and a perfect blend of old-world countryside with modern romance. This French destination wedding is sure to inspire! Chateau de Courtomer The location of the shoot was the beautiful Chateau de Courtomer, located just a few short hours from the Paris city center. The Chateau de Courtomer, as described by the owner, Elisabeth, “was inspired by the Palace of  Versailles and was completed in 1789, on the eve of the French revolution.” The chateau sits on 360 acres of land, and is surrounded by beautiful field ..read more

A Walk through the Danish Tulip Fields

As I walked through the sea of colorful tulips surrounding me, I couldn’t help but feel as if I had been transported to some kind of otherworldly realm. It felt surreal. Bold colors dancing with each other as the wind blew across the fields. It was a cloudy and windy day, not atypical for the Danish countryside where clouds and wind seem to be the norm. However, what brightness lacked because of the cloud-cover, the tulips made up for with their cheery and bright colors! The tulips were organized in neat rows. Some separated according to color, and some intermixed. Nature’s confetti! At the ..read more

The rain was pouring down around us, but spirits were high as Tine and Mads cuddled together, keeping each other warm, while I snapped away on my camera! Tine and Mads met 10 years ago while out on the town with their friends. They started out as friends, eventually became a couple, and were engaged when Mads went down on one knee under the Christmas tree last Christmas! So perfectly intimate! Our engagement session together was magical. Tine and Mads live together on the island of Fyn and love spending time together in nature, and taking long walks with their adorable dog. The coast near Midd ..read more

Tine and Mads looked at each other while softly wiping away the tears that were streaming down both of their cheeks. The looks on both of their faces were ones of pure love and gratitude. For each other, and for their friends and family surrounding them. A Corona Twist Less than 24 hours before Tine and Mads’ wedding day, the Danish government adjusted the covid-19 regulations with immediate effect, causing Tine and Mads to have to re-arrange, re-schedule, and re-think large portions of their day! However, thanks to the incredible help of their friends and family, their wedding day in no way e ..read more
