I was wondering if there were any plans to improve the service on this branch of the Piccadilly, what with the 2024 Stock arriving soon and the potential resignalling of the line. At present there's 6tph off-peak between Acton Town and Rayners Lane, of which 3tph continue to Uxbridge. While an excellent service by any other city's metrics, this is relatively low frequency by tube standards. Hi all, a bit of a niche question perhaps but I was wondering please what happens if you touch into a platform at Paddington with contactless and then the train fails. In the old times I would just use my paper ticket at the barrier again for the next train to Reading instead. However as I have tapped in do I have to tap out and then in again at the alternative platform? But given I am in the system already how would this be charged? Hi all, Very new here! My family and I (Mum, Dad and little 1.5 year old) are thinking about making a big move from Kent to Chesham in Buckinghamshire. There was press comment today on the Picc Line being closed due to changes linked to the new trains that are coming. The coverage said that the timing had not yet been agreed (understandable) but there's been no indication of roughly how long the closure might be. I've got a Saturday in London coming up. I'll be catching a TfL bus into Heathrow T5, then a tube from Heathrow T5 to central London. I'll then be making at least 3 more journeys in Zones 1 and 2, probably more. I have no relevant railcards or other discounts. I'm planning on using contactless. Does anyone know when each LU line and each LU stock got rid of Guards and went DOO? I seem to remember the last one was the Northern Line which had Guards on the 1959 Stock up until withdrawal and was DOO on the 1995 Stock from introduction but i am wondering about the other lines? Did all other lines go DOO at the same time new stock was introduced? Or were there any periods when the A/C/D Stock and 1967/1972/1973 Stock etc had Guards too?
