Hello people!
I would like to get an advice:
Changing places in LA, going to a relatively central area close to Hollywood blvd.
Looking for a prepaid internet solution because the property won't allow for anything else as of now.
Looked through couple around the web but I get very mixed reviews.
Looking to pay $50-60 a month and have at least 40gigs of internet that should be spread throughout 3 phones, 2 laptops and a tablet/eventually/.
Moxee was my first choice, but not so sure.
Any suggestions would be warmly welcomed.
Long term contract are not an option, since I don't know how long I am ..read more

I have nearly 1500000inr which is roughly 20k USD. Would it be enough to start a local ISP. I will be serving home connections with fiber and also serve lease line by fiber as well as wireless.

I live in a duplex in Dallas that is fortunate enough to get AT&T fiber and spectrum service. That said, there are 8 separate lines coming from the pole to my building. Even if spectrum had two separate lines for each unit they all aren’t necessary. I’m curious if these can be removed and who would be responsible for that. Some of these lines have been terminated to nothing on my end, it’s just tethered to the building.
I also understand power also comes from the pole. I have identified that one and it is not included in the 8 lines I have counted.

Since last week, I'm unable to connect to my other devices through the Internet. Only work these that are using well-known ports. For example, a client's router is forwarding XXX Wan port to my server's 22 port (SSH). While using Breezeline ISP I cannot connect. If I switch to my mobile hotspot, works like a charm. Same with all other servers at other clients locations. Even in other countries. If one of these client's router forward WAN 22 port to my 22 port server, works fine. Are you having the same troubles??

I will be moving in a few weeks to the Jacksonville, FL area and am researching Internet options. I'm open to recommendations but the two biggest competitors seem to be ATT and Xfinity (Comcast). Ideally, I'd prefer to save some money, if possible, using existing cable modem (Motorola MB6800) and Wifi 5 router + extenders (Linksys EA9500 + RE9000)....at least until I can see how the new house does and whether Wifi 6e is best or wait for Wifi 7. Anyways, ATT offers 1Gb and Xfinity offers 1.2Gb...although I know I'll never see those speeds on a single Wifi5 device. I believe ATT requires you to ..read more
