Second annual VetStrategy Give Back Days offers meaningful opportunity to support community initiatives

For a second year, Support Office team members from coast to coast came together to support food banks and social service organizations in their communities in a big way! Volunteer shifts occurred the week of April 15 and 22, and a collective 500+ hours were spent sorting food, packing care boxes, preparing meals and more, to support community members in need.   In Etobicoke, team members supported the Daily Bread Food Bank, assisting kitchen staff by washing, chopping, and prepping ingredients for the organization’s meal program. In celebration of International Women’s Day, our clinics participated in Claws for a Cause, a fundraising initiative benefiting local women’s charities through nail trim clinics. This year, our clinic teams nationwide raised a total of almost $4,000 in funds directed to local charities supporting women and girls. Three participating clinics won a $250 donation to their charity of choice. Throughout the 2023 holiday season, clinics and hospitals from across the VetStrategy and Daubigny network, as well as both Support Offices, collected food (pet and human!), personal hygiene items, toys, and more in support of local food banks and social service agencies in their communities, with inspiring results. A whopping 27,163 pounds in donations were collected this year, beating our 2022 donation by nearly 8,000 pounds! In light of this, we are excited to welcome Dr. Laetitia Duler, a Board-Certified Cardiologist, to the Toronto Animal Health Partners (TAHP) team in North York, Ontario!
