I noticed this white layer of what appears to be dead skin in one of my patches after a shot. Is this a side effect of it? Should I worry about this

So guys I want to share my story. This is the second time I got beard alopecia. I usually rock semi long beard so I was pretty bummed when I saw patches of just clear skin. First time when I got alopecia it lasted for a short time, but this time around I didnt see any hairs popping back for at least 4 months. So I decided to completely shave my beard and see if somethings gonna happen. After like 10 th shave I saw some small white hairs growing back, but i was not satisfied. I went online and looked for answers. First thing that I tried was steroid injections. I injected myself (injected ..read more

Last year in September I noticed my beard had a spot with missing hair and it was white and thin and smooth. It has came to other areas but the hair is growing and no longer thin. It’s still blondish. I’m waiting for my insurance to kick in to see a dermatologist. But any advice of what this is?

I’m 24 years old. I used to have dreadlocks and what I took them out my hair got MESSED UP. Thought about regrowing all of it back and some of it did but not all. I went to hairclub and they explained what the process would be but I’ve been seeing reviews of people saying it’s not worth it. Was thinking about just buying their products and doing it myself. Anyone got any advice?

androgenetic **
my life genuinely feels over, I’m really hoping this reaches someone somewhere who can help.
stay with me.
2020 pre lockdown I was diagnosed with AGA, (Androgenetic alopecia aka male pattern hair loss) even tho I’m a girl, genetic so unpreventable but was brought on early due to trauma/stress (yay) im early twenties and my crown is so thin it’s become noticeable. I work full time and have a pretty active social life, and I guess I’d call myself a social “butterfly” so the fact I’m no longer leaving my house is a big issue. I’m currently using topical minoxidil alongside spiron ..read more

hi guys! i was diagnosed with alopecia back in december and I've been on treatment ever since. I'm happy to say that i don't have any bald spots anymore however one thing that worries me is that my hair is growing completely white. I'm a brunette and my dermatologist said a few months ago that my hair would eventually color and return its melanin, but it's been 4 months now and it still stays snow white as before.
today my dermatologist said even she was wondering why it was taking so long.
so I'm curious if any of you guys have had the same problem and found any solutions for it? thank you r ..read more

So, I was on tiktok and saw a custom balder's gate 3 character with no hair. I commented ||"bald'urs gate 3"|| and honestly thought nothing of it? The poster commented that I needed to punch the joke up and try again, and that she herself had alopecia, so I deleted it. I was confused as to how that would be offend, so I messaged her. "Hi! I'm sorry that the pun I thought was harmless wasn't. Can I ask why "bald'ers gate" was upsetting? I honestly just thought you were going for an alt vibe and thought she was really pretty." She responded My character is bald because I have a medical conditio ..read more
