With the Procurement Act 2023 set to go live on 24 February 2025, the Cabinet Office has been releasing guidance notes to help both contracting authorities and suppliers prepare.
One of the more anticipated notes - Central Digital Platform and the Publication of Information - has now been published.

With the Procurement Act 2023 now set to come into force on 24 February 2025, contracting authorities have been given an additional four-month extension to prepare. But with many organisations still far from ready, the question remains: 'why wait?'

As part of the Transforming Public Procurement reform, the Government sought feedback on the secondary legislation that will sit under the Procurement Act 2023 (the Act).
The Government's response to these consultations has now been published - Consultation on draft regulations to implement the Procurement Bill.

The Cabinet Office has advised that the go-live date for the Procurement Act 2023 has been delayed into 2025.
We have now had official confirmation from the Cabinet Office that the go-live date for the Procurement Act 2023 will be delayed until 24 February 2025, almost a 4 month delay.
The reason for the delay is to allow time for a new National Procurement Policy Statement (NPPs) to be produced. After the change in Government earlier this year, the Government want to ensure the NPPS correctly aligns with their priorities. The previous NPPS will be withdrawn.
