NEW YORK (PIX11) – Apartments are available at 28 developments on the city’s affordable housing lottery system throughout March and April, ranging from anywhere between $405 and $3,069 per month for a studio apartment.  The majority of the properties sit in Brooklyn, with 12 properties currently on the lottery. WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, Manhattan (PIX11) --- A man was shot and killed Sunday night in the rear parking lot of the NYCHA building where he lived, according to police and law enforcement sources. Authorities found Kenneth Taveras, 33, with multiple gunshot wounds to the chest in the back of the NYCHA Polo Grounds at 2971 Eighth Ave. in Washington Heights at around 10:35 p.m., accoridng to the NYPD and sources. MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) – A man was kicked onto subway tracks at Penn Station after he didn't answer a question asked by the suspect on Sunday, according to sources. The incident happened on the A, C and E lines around 4:52 p.m., police said. The 64-year-old man was kicked in the back and fell onto the subway tracks, and had pain in his right knee and back, according to authorities. He was taken to Lenox Hill Hospital by EMS, police said.
