my laptop is really struggling - her fans are going like crazy and shes lagging pretty bad. at first i thought i just needed to cull some tabs, but that didnt work and when i opened task manager it showed 33 different instances of firefox when i should only be running one instance. does anybody know why this might be happening and how i can fix it ..read more

I've recently installed an app in my Firefox browser called Tab Stash. As I understand it, it saves the tabs that are opened in a browser window as a bookmark. In the event that that window is closed, (losing all the tabs in it), That window can be restored with all of it's tabs by simply clicking on the bookmark. Hi, I've been using Firefox for a long time now without an account. It has my tabs and my history going back years. I decided that I should try to turn on sync. The only thing that I'm worried about is if I accidentally sign into an existing account and it syncs with that one and imports all the data from that account. It would effectively delete all of the data that I have on my current unregistered browser. Is there any risk of data deletion from syncing and, if so, how do I avoid it? Thanks ..read more

This error just mysteriously started. I tried restarting the computer. I checked my account settings as described in this error message. Everything is correct. I don't know why anything would be been changed in the first place. My next effort to fix this would be the reinstall Thunderbird. I have three calendars that I use on one of Tbirds installed on one of my PCs. I can export two of them but not the third one. If I click on the third calendar in the left column then select export, nothing happens. When I do the same with the other two, a dialog box opens where I can change or add the ICS file and its destination folder. If I try using Events and Tasks to export, the same thing happens. When I open my bank account website, I get the following message: "This page is slowing down Firefox. To speed up your browser, stop this page" this is followed by a box with the word stop In it. if I click on it, I can't do anything on the website and Firefox freezes. I can't even close it. I have to go to task manager and end the task. while in task managerI see the resource uses for Firefox are CPU 4% and memory 64%.
