ByHeart has issued a voluntary recall of five batches of its infant formula due to cross-contamination with Cronobacter sakazakii. This recall is due to cross-contamination. No formula has tested positive for this bacteria. The cross-contamination occured in the only step not owned by ByHeart, the canning phase. Testing at a third party packager facility tested positive. Out of an abundance of caution, they have recalled all product from that entire production run.
