Hello Hello! How are you? I’m finally back after just over a month and it’s good to be back! Today I’m going to be bringing you my wrap-up post for the month of August, but I’m also going to give you a bit of a life update and explain why I’ve been AWOL the past month! The last weeks of August were insanely busy for me at work because I’ve been in the process of fixing a lot of errors other people have made, so I’m barely been human by the time I clocked off and got home! And the last week of August, my husband and I headed off for four days in the mountains and it was well-needed and very enj ..read more

Hello Hello! How are you? Today I’m back with a wrap-up post for the month of July which seemed to whizz by in about 2 seconds flat! July was also a really tiring month for me with lots of things to do, and lots of appointments, and a fair few bad days when my conditions flared up. I’m feeling a bit better now but still really fatigued — at least I have a week of holidays to look forward to at the end of August! In July, I read a total of 9 books, which I’m really happy about, so keep on reading to find out more about my reading month! FAVOURITE BOOKS OF THE MONTH Everyone in my Family has Kil ..read more

First Lines Fridays is a weekly feature for book lovers hosted by Wandering Words. What if instead of judging a book by its cover, its author or its prestige, we judged it by its opening lines? Hello Hello! How are you? Another month has whizzed by and we are already in the 8th month of the year! I can’t believe how fast August has come around but I’m not complaining because I’m so ready for autumn. The summers in France can get really hot and stuffy and just plain uncomfortable, so roll on autumn! I’m going to try to be a bit more controlled in my book purchases in the coming months as I generally start Christmas shopping in September/October to keep the costs down at the end of the year, and I always get a load of books for Christmas and birthday, so I won’t be missing out. Hello Hello! How are you today? This week I’m back with another Down the TBR Hole now I have a bit more time for myself after quite a few weeks of running around and constantly having things to do. I really enjoyed the last Down the TBR Hole post I did a couple of weeks ago and it was nice going through the process of deciding whether or not to keep books on my TBR. In any case, I still have a LOT of work to do! You know the drill: if you’ve never read any of my Down the TBR Hole posts before but you want to find out why I started and what rules to follow to do your own TBR list purge on your ..read more

Hello Hello! How are you all doing? Today I’m back with a super exciting post! In August, I’m finally going to be participating in the Trope-ical readathon created and run by Jenny from JenJen Reviews and her partner Rob! They’ve been organising this readathon for a few years now and I either give it a half-hearted try, or never manage to take part because of work or uni. But this year, since university is done and work is settling down into a normal routine, I’m really going to give it my best shot, and I am so excited for this TBR. I’m still struggling with my reading moods and feeling a bit ..read more

Hello Hello! How are you today? I can’t believe it’s already Wednesday, this week is going by fast, but probably not fast enough for me as I’ve been tackling a pain flare since this weekend and just felt very fatigued in general. I’ve got a super busy week ahead of me and a busy weekend, so it looks like I won’t be resting straight away. I didn’t get to read much the past two weeks because we had so much to do, and I’m still struggling to get back into reading at the speed and productivity levels I had before the last months of my thesis work, but I’m slowly getting back into the swing. In the ..read more
