I always get asked, “Is this a good neighborhood?” “What areas of town do you consider safe?” “What neighborhoods are good for families?” These questions are top of mind when deciding where to purchase a home for you and your family.
Tucson is generally a great city for families. With a tight-knit community, fantastic culture, academics, an incredible parks program, and a killer food scene, what’s not to love?
As in any city, specific neighborhoods are better suited for families than others. As you’ll read, central Tucson tends to be a hot spot for family-oriented neighborhoods an ..read more

Mother’s Day is just around the corner and as much as we love going to brunch and waiting 45 minutes once a year to have someone cook breakfast for us, let’s be honest a cup of coffee in bed and a thoughtful gift goes a long way. If you’re scrambling that’s ok! I’ve compiled a list of gifts mom is sure to love from local, women-owned businesses!

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays.
I love food, cooking, and especially eating! Most of all I love enjoying it with family & friends.
I wanted to share a few of my favorite recipes with you! Check them out below!
Rum Cider Fizz
2 ounces Apple Cider
1 1/2 ounces Spiced Rum (I like George Ocean Rum)
3/4 ounce lemon juice
1/2 ounce brown sugar cinnamon syrup
1 tsp Cinnamon
1 tbsp Brown Sugar
Mix cinnamon & brown sugar together on a small plate. Use a lemon wedge to wet the edge of your glass and then dip it into the mixture to line the rim. Fill with fresh ice and set aside.

I know firsthand how difficult and frustrating finding affordable mental health and counseling services can be. The thing is they exist and they want to help but knowing where to start feels impossible and overwhelming. We recently had to seek out services in our family and after many frustrating phone calls to offices out of service or not accepting new patients I came across some who took the time to share this list with me and now I’m sharing it with you!
Below are several places that will accept ACCHS and uninsured patients at low cost.

I want to start by saying, this is 100% an opinion piece. Yes, I have knowledge of the housing market, but none of what I am about to say is backed by anyone except me (I mean, there may be people who agree, perhaps a lot of people, but I don’t know that).
The housing market is going to crash.
I’ve been saying that isn’t the case. I agree the market isn’t crashing as we thought it would. But, again, it’s not 2008. It’s not the same circumstances. Everyone isn’t getting foreclosed on, but these prices are officially ridiculous.
Every morning, I hop on the MLS, browse the new listings, and scan ..read more

August is a weird month for me. It’s my birth month and it’s such a transitional time. It starts out as a full fledged summer month and ends with a chill in the air and whispers of fall. And so like the month my list goes from summer fun to I’m so glad summer is done!

Look, I’m a real estate agent, not a lender. I don’t work for the bank. I direct you to people who do. My knowledge is limited, but my intuition is pretty dang good. Like I said in my market predictions at the beginning of the year, I don’t have a crystal ball to tell me what the future holds magically. Everything that’s happened over the last few years has been a complete roller coaster, and even if we could’ve predicted it, we didn’t even try.
But we are a quarter of the way into the year, and while the economy has gotten even crazier and the market is still pretty hot, there are signs a shi ..read more

I’ve been using this stuff for YEARS. When I was in my early 20’s my skin was a mess. I’d never really taken great care of it or myself at that point and it showed. I washed my face regularly but that was it. I never, EVER, put moisturizer on my face or sunscreen. During that time I had a conversation where someone suggested that by not moisturizing, your skin ov ..read more
