  In June 2022, the Federal government of Canada enacted into law a new act, banning non-Canadians from buying residential property in Canada for two years effective January 1, 2023.   Who is impacted? The act puts a ban on the purchase of residential properties, so commercial investment properties are still fine for non-Canadians which is good news.
