Hello,
I am currently was on timolol 2x daily but pressure was still around 27, so was put on lumigan as well. With just the timolol I was complaining of dry eye and some headache but now that im on both i have a headache all the time and my eyes are crazy bloodshot(a symptom they did not mention). I take IVIZIA lubricating drops as well. I have thicker corneas which im told give naturally higher readings, but the point is I feel miserable all the time via headache or dry eye.
Unrelated: I also have ocular histoplasmosis in at least 1 eye and get eye injections for that; seemingly unrelated b ..read more

Has anyone else had this happen from Zioptan? It's effective at lowering pressure but it's caused a sunken deep upper lid that never existed before. Ptosis too . My eyes were hooded before wifh plenty of fat now after one year there's a high crease that was never there. I'm young and this is upsetting because its aging and not my eye lid im used to. They say it's reversible, I stopped for a few weeks and saw beginning of minor improvement but going off he drug caused a pressure increase. I went back on it to get pressure back down and the deep eyelid sulcus is very much there. They've implied ..read more

Does anyone here with Glaucoma use Minoxidil drops on their hair?
It is something I am considering using but before I ever use or take anything I always look into wether it effects eye pressure or glaucoma.
I couldn't find anything concrete on Google so was looking to see if anyone had any real world experience or information?
I would ask my optometrist but my next appointment isn't for another 9 months so thought I'd ask here incase anyone had any knowledge about it

Starting new thread.
I'm a 52M. Severe normal tension glaucoma degrading the top half of field vision in both eyes before I was able to catch it. This was discovered in Oct 2023 when I noticed halo glare effects at night streetlights. I thought my cataracts were returning. Since then, and now taking dorzalomide timilol in the am and pm, along with roklatan at night.
My recent appt in April 2024 shows my average pressure has gone down from 19 in October, to 16, then 14, to now 12, My accuity with glasses on is 20/20 left and 20/25 right eye. I passed my peripheral test when renewing my license ..read more

Hi all. I have had Glaucoma for quite some time, and have been on Combigan (timolol + brimonidine) 2x/day with great results. It's been one of the best drops I've tried. I was recently switched to Brimonidine (Alphagan) 3x daily since it's thought to be safer for pregnancy. I'm disappointed in how much higher my pressure is on Brimonidine 3x per day than it was on Combigan 2x per day. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a chance the Briminodine alone will work better over time? I wish there were more options for glaucoma treatment during pregnancy. (For what it's worth, I've exhausted ..read more

It is in the notes from my visit today but the doctor did not discuss it with me. I feel like this is becoming a trend with the doctors I have been seeing lately. They are also trying to rule out iih I think. I'm so frustrated at this point.

So long story short I (28F) went to an ophthalmologist after a referral, and he mentioned I do not have glaucoma but I do have narrow angles.
My pressure was normal, no damage and he mentioned it was more a preventative procedure and scheduled to do both eyes the same day.
Last time I posted a few people recommended gettin a second opinion. When I asked the second doctors office how long it'll take to get in they mentioned as it is non urgent it might take 1-4 months wait.
Should I go with the second opinion or should I stick with the first opthalmologist? Any input is greatly appreciated.

Hello
Anyone tried bio hacking things like nmn, nac eye drops (can c) or bio regulators like visoluten and cerluten? I am talking about prevention?
Also do you think lasik is a risk factor for it?

Please help me to understand the relation between these two.
Do thin corneas cause glaucoma directly? Or do thin corneas mislead iop results thus this cause glaucoma indirectly?
