I caught up with Miami Hurricanes verbal commit Isaiah Thomas on a new episode of Locked On Canes.  The class of 2024 safety out of Clearwater Academy International explained why he chose early on, back on April 17th, that Miami was the only place for him.  When Thomas began taking visits, he "was trying to find a perfect school," he said. "Best fit. Best scheme. Great relationships. Great staff. Great everything. Miami checked off every box. Once I realized that, it was a go from there." I asked Thomas when he decided Miami was the move. Interestingly enough, he came to that rea ..read more

In fact, it's an often discussed topic among fans, parents of high school recruits, high school and college coaches, and many other people. Head coach Darrell Asberry was a savant when it came to learning about Miami Hurricanes commitment Dylan Day. Of course Day has played for Asberry at Baton Rouge (La.) Southern Lab and he’s a class of 2024 recruit. I had the opportunity to speak with coach Asberry on the phone and gain a lot of knowledge about his star player. Here are a few of the cliff notes, followed by a podcast that goes into far more detail about what coach Asberry had to say. Best Long-Term Position: Free Safety, because when the ball goes in the air, Day showed an elite level of ability to track it and make a play on i ..read more
