I was looking at LPA rock sliders and when I scrolled to the photos of the car being jacked up, I couldn't help but think -- are those sliders in the photos bending when used as jacking points? I was wondering if anybody has attempted to drive on Pool Table Road to Wheeler Geologic Area (near Creed CO) in their Crosstrek. I am interested in going there and am wondering if it is doable in my Crosstrek Wilderness or if I should simply just take the hiking trail and hike it. All reviews that I can find say that you should only attempt it with a 4WD /high clearance or ATV/side by side. I have seen some videos and pictures and it appears doable in my CWD, but then again, it's only... Pool Table Road to Wheeler Geologic Area (CO) with Crosstrek Wilderness ..read more

Grew up with a Land Rover Discovery that was fully decked out for off-roading so I'm looking to make my car share some of the traits. I understand the XV is not going to be a rock climber like my family's car or jeeps out there but I am under the assumption that with the right upgrades that the XV can do most things. I saw this lift kit to begin with... Subaru 2013 XV Basic Offroad Build Questions ..read more

Hello! Hope all are well! In my search for a trailer hitch for a 13 ft boston whaler tow, Subaru dealer says they only have a 1 1/4 class one hitch, which is too small, available for $1, 000.00. What class two aftermarkets have you all used? Seems u-Haul is a good deal with a Curtis? Thanks ..read more

Been doing some off-roading and while I find X-Mode useful, I find hill descent control (HDC) gets in the way, especially when the terrain is rocky\uneven, it applies aggressive breaking, making the descent jerky and uncomfortable. I would like to keep X-Mode engaged, but disable HDC. Is this possible ..read more
