This is a draft chapter from my forthcoming book - The Project Finance Modelling Handbook. I'm publishing drafts of every chapter online to get as much feedback and input from fellow professionals as possible. My goal is to publish the most useful book on Project Finance Modelling available. I am adding to this Glossary as I refer to terms in other chapters of the book. It is, therefore, an incomplete work in progress. Like we all are. Availability period. This is the period during which the Project Company may draw on its loan facilities. It is usually in the period during which the asset is ..read more

I'd like your advice as we take the final steps before publishing. We've been testing different binding options. I've been torn between the practicality of wire binding vs the aesthetics of soft back binding. The softback binding looks better and feels more "premium", but the wire binding is so much more practical. The missing ribbon shortcuts in Excel for Mac - updated.
Financial Modelling Handbook
by Kenny Whitelaw-Jones
1y ago
One barrier that has stopped me from switching to Excel for Mac is the lack of ribbon keyboard shortcuts. I've long been used to hiding the ribbon to give me more screen space, knowing that if I hit Alt, the keyboard shortcuts I need will appear, and I can activate the ribbon commands. This doesn't happen natively in Excel for Mac. Last year, I wrote this review of Accelerator Keys for Mac. At that time, the product came really close to solving my problem but didn't quite get there. A significant number of important shortcuts were missing. My review seemed to have an impact. I'm delighted that ..read more
