Linden Grove Cemetery was officially consecrated on September 18, 1843, on land originally owned by the Western Baptist Theological Institute. Benjamin Grove, a landscape gardener, was the designer responsible for the Cemetery’s layout. Over the succeeding decades, the Cemetery continually fell into disrepair and neglect. The situation degenerated to the point that in 1948, the Kenton County Circuit Court ordered the Cemetery property placed into receivership. Ideas include landscaping, safety signs, dog waste stations & tour COVINGTON, Ky. – Eleven neighborhood groups are due to receive funding from the City of Covington for small improvement projects ranging from fruit trees to pedestrian safety signs to dog waste stations to historic walking tour signs. The funding – totaling more than $50,000 – is on the consent agenda of the Covington Board of Commissioners tonight, part of the latest round of the ongoing Neighborhood Grant Program. Once here, he accumulated wealth in Chester, Pennsylvania. Thomas Sr. had plans for his son to be a Presbyterian minister, a plan Thomas rebelled against. Then Thomas proposed to Dinah. She was the widow of John Piersol, mother of three children, and very attractive to Thomas, six years her junior. His father opposed the marriage and arranged to send Thomas to Ireland. ABOUT THE RUBY’S GARDEN PROJECT & HOW WE HONOR PET LOSS If you’ve ever dealt with the loss of a pet, you know how hard it can be when it’s time to say goodbye. In 2020, Ruby, a small beagle with dwarfism, and Covington resident, died. Ruby had a lot of sass, and an online following. When she died, her followers donated money towards a project in her memory. Ruby’s owner is Cole Imperi, who is now serving as the Board President.
