Families looking for a nurturing way to help children cope with grief will discover a unique, creative practice at Lakewood’s upcoming mandala workshops on Sunday, August 4. Each volunteer Lakewood tour guide shares the same foundational knowledge, gained from an in-depth training class that covers Lakewood’s history, architecture, notable residents and local history. On each evening of Lakewood’s annual Lantern Lighting Celebration, families and friends cherish the moment when the sun sets and the lanterns drift across serene Jo Pond.
