Blog, book reviews, events and updates from Sandra Yuen aka Sandra Yuen MacKay. For Sandra, art began as a healing tool from illness but grew into a passion and a career. She wants to spread hope and optimism through these pieces, drawing from the depths of suffering transformed into a new entity, a rebirth.

I met James Medynski at Hemlock Film Rentals on Orwell Street in North Vancouver. I walked up this steep staircase and entered the treasure trove of his business where he has many original pieces of art available to rent!
Also he has a large digital collection of images, he can print and frame ready for pick up in a short time frame.
He's a great fellow to work with and he's been in business there for 3 years. He's making a splash!
So If you would like to rent my large florals or house portraits for film or even staging a home please contact James!
Open Mon – Fri, 9:30 – 4:30

Why did you write From New York to Vancouver?
Sandra: James D. Young and I met on an online writers group, www.lit.org, critiquing each other's work and sending quips via emails. James sent me clippings of Douglas Coupland's Temp which appeared in the Metro newspaper in New York. Inspired, I wrote Chop Shtick, full of one-liners a ..read more
