Sussanne Hoiberg enjoying nature Its been so long since I communicated here in my blog. I have been recovering from a concussion. Its been challenging, learning to pace myself for my wellness. Thankfully I am having more instances where I am feeling better. Yay. This Saturday is open Studio!! at 1701 Powell Street. I will be opening my doors from Noon to 5pm. Wow, its the first day of October. I am excited to say this will be my 2nd Autumn where I am living and working in my very own Artist studio. As I reflect in the last year, there have been more than a few bumps in the road. Thank goodness, I have my connection to my inner Viking Goddess Adrenis. She is my very own personal super hero. ​Tomorrow is open studio, its always a little bit crazy here just before open studio. The crazy part is me scrambling, to clean up my artist work area, re-arrange artwork, and make everything inviting for visitors. This painting "A magical and Mystical Garden" was started in January 2020!! Open studio this past Saturday was so much fun. Linda Casano and myself were busy painting butterflies. Well, in actual fact, she did most of the painting. When I host open studio, there is so much energy and excitement flying in the air. With people walking in and out, I have a hard time to concentrate on a painting or drawing. Its like getting distracted by that shiny object, or squirrel!!!! Today, I have completed the 7th painting called NightBug. Its a butterfly world here in the studio, and I am having so much fun. I have challenges some days, and that is when I get more creative. Sometimes this life seems like a rollercoaster ride. The highs and lows are evening out. Especially when I change the way I look at things. Today GloBug is lighting my way for new opportunities. Its the first day of October, it feels like autumn today. I am enjoying seeing the bright fall colours, This is what inspired me to choose these colours, and it felt a little like fire!! I am excited to introduce the 6th painting in the butterfly series, FireBug! I am preparing the Studio, moving things around, and creating the butterfly display. Its the night before I host another open studio here in Vancouver. I have been a busy artist painting the Loveable Self Series, and A Sacred Geometry Series. Both will have 12 completed paintings in each series, when they are complete. I have 3 of each ready to be viewed here in person tomorrow!!  Vendel Arts Studio will host a live broadcast tomorrow on Facebook. This is my first attempt.
