2021 was a huge year for us. A move, a baby, home sales, and a big home purchase. We purchased lots of other things too. Some good, some so-so, and many returned. I will save all of our most-used baby things and best postpartum products for another post. Here are our best home, clothing, beauty, personal care, and food-related purchases and most used items of 2021. And of course, my favourite books. Nothing here was gifted or sponsored. All the links go to sites that ship to Canada unless otherwise stated. BEST HOME PURCHASES Casper Humidity Fighting Duvet and Hyperlite Duvet Cover  ..read more

April’s Nursery Tour
Stuff I Love

I’m excited to share with you a tour of my favorite room in our house: baby April’s nursery. I set it up little by little in my third trimester and love how it came together. I planned the layout in my head and started ordering the items after we moved into our house at the end of February. The room gets beautiful soft light throughout the day and puts me in a good mood as soon as I walk in. Going from decorating the room and folding her little clothes to holding her and changing her in the room fills me with gratitude, love and peace. We feel so fortunate to have a dedicated space for April ..read more

With a pandemic going on and all of the heartbreaking injustices happening around the world, a lot of us have been feeling overwhelmed, anxious, and hopeless. Being pregnant makes it that much harder to cope. I’ve come up with a list of things that I’ve done that have made me happier and less stressed. Let me know if any of them resonate with you, and if you have any tips and tools you use to feel happier every day. 1. Unfollow or mute people on social media. If someone’s stories and posts make you feel envious, depressed, or less-than, you’ll be happier unfollowing that account. If you’re see ..read more

Baby Wishlist – Under $100
Stuff I Love
by Jenny Liu

A few weeks ago I posted my baby wishlist for items over $100. This list includes most of what is on our registry for under $100. We’ve slowly accumulated baby necessities from a combination of Facebook Marketplace, patiently waiting for sales, and gifts from generous friends. We’ve checked off several big ticket items so far such as the Uppababy Vista V2 stroller (this was Damon’s favorite and I’m glad we’ll have an extra bassinet), a Maxi Cosi Mico Max 30 carseat plus the adapter to fit it to our stroller, and a Stokke mini crib. As for clothes, we’ve been gifted with many cute little outfi ..read more

I’m so excited to finally share a photo tour of our renovated Vancouver condo that has been our home for the last three+ years. With a baby on the way (I shared a Pregnancy Q&A), we’ll be making some changes, so I thought it was a great time to show how we renovated and decorated it pre-baby. All the photos were taken by me, and the photos of Damon and I were shot by my brother Danny. Marble nesting side tables from West Elm; Bookcase from CB2; Sectional from CB2 (similar); Wool rug from Crate & Barrel; Marble coffee table (similar); Stool from West Elm; The original apartment looked ..read more

Damon and I have been making the most of our time together before our baby comes and I’m having a lot of fun finding new restaurants for us to try and new neighbourhoods to explore. Not being able to see family and friends or travel means our weekends are free to spend with each other, but I want to be intentional with that time so that we have something to look forward to every week and that weekends don’t just disappear in front of our eyes. It feels like we’re dating again and I love it. Usually our weekends will include a meal at new-to-us restaurants, baby related errands, and a walk in ..read more

Baby Wishlist – Items Over $100
Stuff I Love

Throughout my pregnancy I’ve been adding to a wishlist on my phone whenever I come across baby products or recommendations that I like. We haven’t purchased many things yet (aside from some baby clothes and a Halo bassinet) because we’re still getting our space organized and don’t want to have too many things in our limited space just yet. However, I’ve done lots of research and know what I want to get for our baby. Here is a list of all the products on our wishlist and registry that we haven’t purchased yet in the over $100 category. I live in Vancouver, Canada, and stores with great invento ..read more

Pregnancy Q&A
Stuff I Love

We shot these photos with our friend Esther when I was 18 weeks pregnant and finally feeling more like myself. I was so excited to be feeling better and eating again and wanted to capture these photos as soon as possible in case the nausea came back or in case nothing fit down the road. Pregnancy has been so unpredictable that I don’t take any good day for granted and try not to make too many plans. I’m 23 weeks writing this, and can’t believe I’m quickly approaching the end of my second semester. I wanted to do a Q&A to capture both my feelings and Damon’s feelings during this time. I’m ..read more
