For the first time since USC started school, there was a student demonstration. There was some question over how a demonstration would look with the new security measures and checkpoints to get on campus and I’m sure Carol Folt and Co. were nervous. Here are some photos. Note USC security prevented any protests near Tommy Trojan and Alumni Park was sealed shut ..read more

Riley said Thursday morning that the game “was quite a bit closer than the scoreboard indicated.” So he’s trying to lower expectations ahead of the trip to Ann Arbor. One question for Michigan is whether Jack Tuttle ..read more

Michigan and Notre Dame lost last weekend. Are they out of the College Football Playoff race? Neither looks good enough for the playoff. But they aren’t out of the picture because they lost last weekend. They will be out because they have terrible offenses. Here’s the point: Lincoln Riley is wrong to be against playing Notre Dame because it might knock USC out of the ..read more

I don’t want to say last night was glorified scrimmage but . . . last night was a glorified scrimmage. That’s not to say good things cannot be accomplished. It just means USC players were not exactly getting pushed against a clearly inferior opponent. Did we learn anything? No. 2 tailback Quinten Joyner had some flashes. Backup QB Jayden Maiava showed he would be comfortable ..read more
