Hi everyone. I picked up a 2024 Winnebago 2108DS. I opened up the inverter prepped cover in the front pass through. All I see is a black 110 volt line. I assume I would just install a feed from the inverter to that line. I assume the trailers breaker should be off when the inverter is used. Any info anyone has on this would be great. I asked for any info from Winnebago, we shall see what they say. Ablais007 ..read more

Managing Tongue Weight 2021 Micro Minnie 2108DS

I have a 2021 Micro-Minnie 2108DS and am struggling with keeping the tongue weight within reasonable limits. I have 2 propane tanks and 2 lead acid batteries in the front. I have a tongue weight limit of 740 lbs and just loading it without regard to front/back distribution we have a tongue weight of ~1,000 lbs. When I move everything heavy as far back in the trailer as possible I get to 720 lbs. I have plenty of payload left in the truck (2015 Dodge Durango R/T 5.7L V8 with Tow Package) and the trailer. Here are my numbers from the CAT Scale: Tow vehicle GVWR: 7,100 lbs Tow vehicle front axle ..read more

Insect screens on roof vents?

Good day, Do folks here have insect screens on the 2 roof grey and black plumbing vents? Not sure if needed, I will do the 2 gas exhausts from furnace and hot water heater as a precautionary measure, but my experience shows bugs really don’t like the natural/propane exhaust vents in homes anyway… But the sewer vents are another thing… Thx! Full length Queen in Micro Minnie 2108FBS?

For those of you that have upgraded the queen mattress to a full length Queen bed, did you extend the support box underneath as well? Was thinking to only add 2 support “triangles” at the foot of the bed to support the extra length… (short leg of triangle against the bottom of the bed board, and other short leg against the bed support box) I don’t want the foot of the bed to be spongy when sat upon. What thickness mattress did you use? Thanks for any insight! Bill ..read more

Just bought my first Winnie (2024 MLRK 2630) fell in love with it when we first saw it at an RV show. Bought it and had it delivered in Oct of 23 to our camp site. We went out this past weekend to start the opening ritual and set it in place were Amy wanted it exactly. That is when we noticed what looked like a 2 Inch Square shape pushing out of the back wall extending left to right. along that protrusion, there are 3-4 1 plus inch cracks. Has anyone ever experienced this or similar? Attached Thumbnails   ..read more

Weber grill off Micro Minnie 2108FBS propane tap?

Has anyone run a grill with the low pressure propane tap on the rear of the trailer? I converted my Weber Q1000 to remove the regulator, and testing with a propane tank with regulator at the tank and 6foot 3/8” diameter hose. Working I guess, but seems lower lazy flame. Might have to change orifice size. Any advise? Thx! Bill ..read more

One Year Winnebago Owner's Survey

I received a survey request email from Winnebago because we have had our Micro Minnie 2108TB for a year. They want to know the usual customer experiences. Before I opened it, I made a list of things that could have been better so I could cut-and-paste them into the survey. I kept it factual, non-caustic, and blameless. In the section of the survey that seeks that type of information there is only room for a couple of sentences. The list is much longer. I ended up telling Winnebago there was not enough room and if they were interested in having the information they could contact me. I don't t ..read more

Support slide to sit while retracted?

Has anyone tried putting a properly sized piece of rubber under the slide when retracted? I was thinking of a piece of firm rubber under the front lip of the couch or bench to support the slide while retracted… Would like to be able to sit on it when retracted, and maybe this might help support the cantilever load while going down ruff roads, less slide out failures??? Thoughts? If I had to I would use wedge shaped pieces slid underneath, then use strings as tethers to pull them before extending. (Pink flagging for visibility) Bill ..read more

Towing with fresh water or not?

Do you notice much difference in how the 2108 tows with a full fresh water tank vs empty? Does a full tank down in the belly dampen sway and offset wind gusts, or make sway worse? I'm surrounded by BLM and national forests here in Idaho, off-grid will be common for us and I'd like to bring water from home. I don't think my Tundra will notice pulling the extra 250 pounds of water - wind is a much greater nemesis than weight - so if the trailer pulls straighter with a full tank that'd be great ..read more
