Hi all, When I last worked on my '78 Scamp door window project, I dismantled, cleaned and partly reassembled the window/frame. I also, thank goodness, purchased replacement gaskets. Now I can't find the pictures I took while taking it apart and am wondering where to turn to find, hopefully, a step by step tutorial or document that can sort of hold my hand as I get this thing together and back where it belongs. Chuckles and advice welcome. :reye2 ..read more

Flooring

I have recently seen where someone has used those EVA Interlocking Floor Mats used on gym, garage, playroom floors in their travel trailer. But I can't find it, don't think it was on this site, but there is so much knowledge here, thought someone might know if anyone has tried it or if it would be a feasable solution to the flooring in our 86 17" Bigfoot. My reasons being lower cost, easy for me to install, warm under foot, they say waterproof but more likely water resistance and you can get a wood pattern instead of the plain checker plate pattern. ZEP polish and adhesives?

We have a Scamp camper and we've used ZEP successfully. Ours has been on since 2021 and still looks great. We've been very pleased with it, as our gelcoat was absolute chalky toast. We're planning on installing a solar panel with adhesive strips, and was wondering if anyone knew if there is a need to remove/strip the ZEP before applying any adhesives? One school of thought would be that the ZEP would be sealed by the adhesive over it, thus permanent -- and that the adhesive would stick better on the smooth ZEP than the chalky bare fiberglass. The other school of thought is that the ZEP will e ..read more

Trails West Campster propane lines

Question: Do I need to replace and reposition my original propane line? I recently acquired a 1970 Trails West Campster. I think it was garaged most of it's life and in good condition but I am doing repairs and upgrades. It has the original kitchen sink with both city water and pump faucets, shore power electrical and breaker box and working original two burner propane stove top. Propane system is original with copper lines running from front tank/regulator/rubber pigtail to front fitting on the interior copper pipe. It then continues inside though the left locker inside (not under the outsid ..read more

Currently I own a 13 ft boler, which can be perfectly fitted in my garage after removing the top hatch cover, now I plan to change to a bigfoot 17,the old model such as 1986 or similar. The length is not problem, garage is long enough, but no idea about its height and width. , but have no idea how bigger it is comparing with 13 ft boler. Thanks in advance ..read more

Casita Exterior Care Tips?

Hi everyone, I'm working on a 2004 Casita single-axle trailer that needs some love. I'm new to this and have never owned nor cared for a fiberglass trailer before. The exterior clear-coat seems to be worn off (it was powerwashed at one point) and it has lots of dirt and grime on it. Some areas are still shiny while others are dull white. I was thinking of warm soap and water, then Zep stripper (mixed with water) if needed, and then some clear coating on top like Stern to Bow. What do you all think of these? Any recommendations for the best detergents, clear coats, etc? Is waxing necessary? I ..read more

I am looking for feedback from those that have injected resin into soft floors. I have read several posts about it so I am familiar with the process but haven't seen any post of results after some foot traffic. Yes, the floor in my 2001 Casita is soft. Thanks in advance for your time and comments ..read more
