Black tank flush

I just acquired a 2021 Sunset Trail 235RB. The unit came from Canada and I spent the day flushing all the lines of the antifreeze, etc (I live in Florida and never had to do this so all new to me). Took awhile to "reverse" the winterization but learned much as I went. Everything finally done but I could not get the Black tank flush to work. There was no sound of water moving despite the hose being pressurized. I removed the panel and I saw a small black backflow valve? but there was no way to adjust it. Is there a valve somewhere that I am overlooking? The manual I received was just general in ..read more

Hello all, I have a recently had to trade in my trailer to get a larger unit Jayco bungalow 40’ rlts due to the fact that I’ve been in a work accident and I am wheelchair bound so I had to find a unit that’s big enough for me. The only problem is the glass sliding door opens into the bathroom wall and I need to reverse it if that’s possible. If anyone has any insight on this, I would really appreciate it, thanks ..read more

Moved from a Class A to a TT, Sunset Trail 253RB. Installing a new TV and I can't seem to find any information regarding the TV antenna adjustment in the paperwork. In the Class A there was a dial that I could turn manually but I can't see where an adjustment can be made in this TT. Still learning and appreciate this forum ..read more

Trailer coupler locks

There are a lot of choices for trailer coupler locks on the market and I have looked at most of them. I want a lock that provides true security and not false hope that my trailer is secure. After researching many locks I found the BT1 trailer coupler lock from Bank Trailer Security Systems the best overall choice. It is made of 1/4" steel with a 3/4" locking pin. All components of the lock are interconnected, so there are no loose parts to loose or assemble on your trailer. It can be installed and removed with one hand. Making it the easiest on operate lock on the market. If you want true high ..read more

How to seal tail lights.

I own an old TT and had to remove a tail light that was sealed with Butyl tape. What a chore it was to get it loose and all the butyl scraped off and then wiped off with paint thinner. You see the previous owner used a plate of 3/16" aluminum against the outside trailer wall and then a sealed LED unit sealed to the aluminum plate. I had to remove to get at the wiring behind it all which I couldn't get to from inside the trailer. I've attached two pictures, one shows where the one was that I took off, and the other shows the opposite side with the aluminum plate painted black and the LED ligh ..read more

Foam gasket for pop-out window

Time to replace the foam gaskets on my pop-out windows. Is this an RV-specific product, or can I use any old stick-on weather stripping? It's hard to see in the photo, but the gasket that is on there looks like it was made to go around the corners without bunching up on the inside of the curve. I'm thinking if I use something that comes on a roll it is going to bunch up in the corners and cause problems with closing the window and sealing. So far searching online hasn't turned up anything except rolls of foam weatherstripping. I'm thinking surely many folks on this forum have had to replace t ..read more

Over Pressured water tank!

Hi! I made a Big mistake! I did not put on my water pressure reducer when I hooked up the trailer! Now, I see that water is leaking from the water tank itself and it is a 60 gallon tank! Does anyone know where it could be leaking and if I can repair it? I have drained the tank and have peeled back the undercoating. I will put the pressure reducer back on, turn the valve in the correct position and see if I can find where it is leaking. Thanks for your help ..read more
