Hello, I want to try fly fishing on a lake after dark but don't know where to start. Do I use a floating line or sinking? I heard streamers and mice work really well. Do i use UV materials or glow in the dark stuff? I live in the west side of the cascades (Orting) and would like to fish around the area or an hour or so away. I have a float tube. I was recently going through some old fly rods with the thought of selling them. I have what I believe to be a very early Sage graphite fly rod...it is so early that Sage was still called the Winslow Rod Company. The rod I have was custom built by Lani Waller who, at the time, owned North Country Fly Shop. This was before Sage/Winslow started building rods with their name on them...they basically sold everything as blanks.
My rod is labeled "590" which means a 5 wt. 9' 0".
