Hi, I am heading to Longmont and Boulder next week for a company meeting and will stay an extra day and 1/2 for fishing. Any thoughs about best rivers and tactics for this area this time of year? One of my colleagues who lives in Boulder suggests the Big Thompson south of Esthes Park. This seems like a good option but am open to others. I've been unable to get out fishing much lately but finally found the opportunity to wet a line. I loaded up my float tube, two rods and lunch and headed out to a lake that is often quite rewarding. It was rewarding today in terms of seeing two friends of mine out there and no other anglers. It was rewarding to wet a line, hear sandhill cranes and a multitude of other birds.
