Anyone for a Cup of Coffee! I built this one with an epoxy center handle and walnut hoop. It took a few pours to get it done right which made for a long drawn out process. Also the polishing was bananas. All and all this is a one off if there ever was one.
This is up for auction and you can check that out here...

I live in Amarillo TX and have always stuck with fishing northern NM. Cimarron, Rio Hondo, and a few other small streams.
But since Covid, NM has become like a third world country. Still all masked up, acting goofy to outsiders, and even hostile.
What are recommendations for small to medium streams/rivers in southern Colorado that I might try? I’d like to find a new go-to place or two and just bypass NM from now on. Thank you ..read more

I love fly fishing for Carp. I could tell this big girl was my target by watching her body language. She wouldn't be a huge fish out of the Denver South Platte, but for this creek she's pretty big ..read more

With all this nice weather who has been out waving the stick?
I'm sure most of us hard core fly anglers didn't miss a beat all winter though. I went out last Sunday and that will be the last time I fish any known water on a weekend. What a zoo. Picked up more trash than I usually see in a season!
Also had a chance to hit a little river I used to fish all the time. The little black stones were out in force. Surface action was outstanding. Didn't last long but it was long enough as I...

As I don't live near a asphalt jungle, I was just wondering what your take is on the number of people on the river(s) you frequent with the Covid crap. Did you see a noticeable increase in anglers?
The few times I was able to get out this summer I noticed nothing above the "norm". From what I have read on other forums there was a huge influx of people fishing. As usual, the impact obviously depends more on the the size of the population center and how close to that center your...

Purchasing a pontoon and looking for opinions based on knowlede/experience.
Looking at a Scadden Skykomish Sunrise and an Outcast Pac 900/1000.
As far as I can tell the main difference is a lean bar/platform to fish with on the Scadden. It seems they don't use the same criteria for weight capacity, so it is difficult to tell which one carries more - I plan to do overniters.
Bladder vs. bladderless?
Have read that Scadden is not the most customer oriented company(putting it nicely)...

Would you like to know where the fish are? Well I’ll find out for you! I just need a hint on where to go and what to use
More details:
I’m traveling to stay in Chromo, CO with some buddies for May 23-27. We have not the slightest idea of where to go or what to use - we are fly fisherman from the Gulf Coast. If anyone could provide us with any tips (by no means am I asking for honey holes - although that’d be nice too), we’d be very appreciative. And of course, we’ll report back at the...
