Here are the books that I read throughout April. This was a pretty good reading month for me as I managed to finish a lot through audiobooks. Some of these were ones I hadn’t heard of but the library recommended so I gave them a try. I have linked them to my reviews for the books and added a description and star rating for those that don’t have reviews yet.

What’s the most fun way to exercise?
View all responses
I hate the idea of working out so much and try to avoid it most of the times. The only times I care to exercise is when there is a way to make it fun. I’ve managed to make exercise fun by finding video games that incorporate movement. The other way I’ve made it fun is by listening to audiobooks while going on a walk. This way I am distracted by the activity I am actively engaging in but instead am focused on being in a different world.
I wanted to tie this back into my blog topic which is reading and books so I’ll ..read more

View all responses

I figured I’d give you my one word, let you know why and then give you a few books in which I feel that the word applies either to the main character, or the entire book.
So for this time around I’ll go with the word determined since right now in this struggle to complete my dissertation with it feeling like the odds are against me all I can rely on is my determination. I ..read more

There, they can share everything—Mitra’s complicated feelings about her absent mother, Bea’s heartache over her most recent breakup—nothing too messy or complicated for The Book.
