CANNINGTON Race  2 No. 3 Zinc and No. 6 Coco Shimmer The 3 is boxed to go close here. Good effort last week and just needs to stay close. The 6 will come on from mid field and there could be trouble here which she will capitalise on. EW for her too.  Race 3 No. 1 Argyle Queen and No. 6 West On Nugget The Miata final. The 1 looks to hold up early here and lead. It’s her best and only chance but hard to run down if she does. The 6 the best stayer in the race with a tricky draw. If he offsets that he wins and he can.  Race 4 No. 7 Pepper Grinder and No. 6 Lady Dior The 7 score ..read more

RACE 1 MANZOR MAGIC was backed into favourite on Good Friday (how?) in a 54+ against the older horses. He got within 4L late of Grand Reserve, Hieronymus Bosch, Simply, Blue Card and beat home Savorski. That should be sufficient form to win a lowly 2000m maiden. DEMONSTRATION went close last start behind Candlelight Sherif. He’s had 15 cracks at it but he can stay the trip and will keep whacking away. MISSEDTHEDEEL ran second in a C1 last start behind Canggu over 1600m. Looks like she’ll stay. SKITTISH looked a fleeting hope last start but may have peaked on the run. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 5 – 2 Sug ..read more

Race 1 Good race to kick off and expecting a more positive ride aboard PERSPIRATION, who went back and was left with too much to do over this trip last start. SNACK BAR won well over 1200m last time at this after an eye catching debut and maps for a similar run. BRING FORTH has been jumping out well for his debut. BRIGHELLA charged home to win over 1000m on debut and looks suited by the extra 200m. IRREFUTABLY is another impressive debutant winner and has a case. Selections: 1,2,5,3 Suggested Bet: Perspiration to win Race 2 MAWKEB appears well placed stripping fitter for her luckless latest ru ..read more

MANDURAH Race 1 No. 7 Trendy Miss Forgive last week and while the box doesn’t help again, this is much easier and the price will be there to play her EW. Any luck early and she will charge Into this late.  Race 2 No. 1 Security Guard and No. 7 Our Girl Jupiter Not a race we need to get stuck into. The 1 went ok behind a star the last time he was here and he is drawn to show up. The 7 has blistering early speed and sustains it. If she leads clearly she is the one they have to mow down and I doubt they will.  Race 3 No. 2 Unleashed Mayhem Expecting him to bounce back here. Has a great ..read more

RACE 1 Interesting race to kick off the day at Eagle Farm with a number of the better fancied runners returning from breaks. Clearly the most interesting is the Magic Millions Maiden winner BARASSI who trounced his rivals back on the big day. Very lightly raced due to issues he’s had a ton of trials including one in the lead up to this winning narrowly over 685m. He’ll be short & no knock from me however I’ll look for a little better value. HIDDEN WEALTH charged home here last start expect him closer this time & hitting the line once again. TIGER SHARK has good ability & maps well ..read more

RACE 1 Another big day of Group 1 racing at Randwick kicks off with a 1400m Midway which as per all the Midways looks very open, nothing jumps off the page that’s for sure. I’ll lean to PEAK on an each-way basis who goes to 1400m for the first time & does give every indication he’ll run it out. Love to see him settle a little closer & that may well be the case with the step up in distance. ELETTRICA clearly has the best form however really climbs in the weights, UZZIAH should be ready to show something. Numbers: 11 – 1 – 2 – 6 Suggested Bet: Box up top 4 selections in exotics. RACE 2 F ..read more

RACE 1 SPEEDY NOVA very importantly gets back to 1000m. Just feel at this stage of her career she might be a one trick pony and that’s leading over the short course. Her best runs have been over 1000 – 1100 and she’s been a little vulnerable late so coming back to the sprint trip is a big plus and Lucy Fiore should have her in front for a long way here. OFCOURSE SHE HAS has toe and will look to use the gate. FLICK THE SWTICH comes through the Brave Spirit race which should hold up as a form reference. ROSENTREA has shown ability from time to time in a short career. Numbers: 4 – 7 – 8 – 6 Sugge ..read more

CANNINGTON  Race 1 No. 8 Chipping Away and No. 4 Run A Tick Steady Novice class race to kick things off. Small specs on these two at what should be decent prices. The red the one to beat but likely odds on so will place heavy these two who can figure on their best form.  Race 2 No. 7 Canya Bon Bon Only needs to obtain a clear run here to be a great top two play. Well bred and is now ready to break through and gets the good map here to go close in this maiden. Race 3 No. 8 Go Seek Francine and No. 2 Quick Lands The 8 needs to win this or she simply isn’t wanting to. Expect her to spea ..read more

Luton v Brentford Last weekend’s 5-1 spanking at the hands of Manchester City might’ve been a heavier defeat than Luton Town were expecting. But it hasn’t really damaged their chances of survival, as the Premier League season heads to the wire. Only in their wildest dreams would Andros Townsend, Ross Barkley and company have expected to beat the defending champions, although Barkley’s consolation was well deserved and a sign of his continuing appetite for the challenge. Barkley has contributed four assists and five goals, a number bettered by only two players in Elijah Adebayo and Carlton Morr ..read more
