Dara and Seth were married at one of Chicago’s newest loft-style wedding venues – Sarabande. I started the morning with Dara and her bridesmaids downtown at Hyatt Centric Magnificent Mile and Justin started with Seth and the groomsmen at the same hotel. Jessica and Daniel’s wedding at Tabu Restaurant in the West Loop was a great way to start winding down our 2023 wedding season. I started with Jessica along with her sisters and mother at LondonHouse Hotel downtown while Justin started with Dan and the guys at an AirBNB in Fulton Market. I met up with Liz and Bill at one of their local spots, Frank’s Bar, in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood. We chatted over beers and made a few photos there before walking to the Park. Our walking tour continued East through the park and out to the Lakeshore and Fullerton Beach. It was a bit windy, but I loved the photo we made of the two of them running – it was good practice for Bill who was running the Chicago Marathon this year! Deirdre and Phil were married at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood with a reception at Cafe Brauer. I started with Deirdre and the rest of the bridesmaids at Claridge House hotel. The ladies had a lot of fun listening to Taylor Swift while getting ready and it was a really great morning all around. Justin started with Phil and the guys at the same hotel as well. The ceremony was officiated by Deirdre’s friend Brendan at St. Joseph Catholic Church. I’m a bit partial to the venue because it’s just a few blocks from my home and I’m a well-known sucker for exposed brick loft spaces! Nadia and Michael’s outdoor wedding at The Dawson was my third wedding of the Labor Day weekend and my second to feature a tropical bird! I started with Nadia at the couple’s home where she was getting ready. Jay spent the morning with Michael and the guys. Nadia was in great spirits despite the weather and the threat of rain. Amy and Eric were married at the the Museum of Science and Industry on Chicago’s south side. They both have backgrounds in STEM so the venue choice was perfect! I met Allison and Bret in Lincoln Park at the Alfred Caldwell Lily Pool to kick off their summer engagement session in Chicago. The Lily Pool is one of my favorite locations in the city, and surprisingly still a little under the radar. From there we made the quick trip across Lake Shore to North Ave. Beach where they changed outfits. We took the walk all the way out on the concrete pier and caught a really great sunset.
