April is the month of effloresce new beginnings all around; the eye takes in a palette of fresh pastels that dance through the landscape, songs from the swallows reemerge and dreams of new adventures begin to fill our genius. Everything about this time of year seems to rejoice and bask in love, the perfect time for a wedding.
The day could not have been more flawless at Wolf Mountain as the sun peaked through the gentle white clouds, a cool breeze descended from the mountain tops and a warm 75 degrees wrapped the vineyard in a soft warmth. Exquisite spring floral arrangements of blush + white ..read more

In ten days Jess and Joe will become husband and wife at Blue Mountain Vineyard with grand epic views, amazing wine and joy filled love all around. With spring as a backdrop we anticipate their wedding day to be beyond perfect.
Jess + Joe initially bonded over their love of hiking, Lord of the Rings, and ramen noodles. They both cary a genuinely relaxed laid back personality which just invites friendship the moment you meet them. The love they have for the outdoors is clear, it is their Shangri-la. As you can see in their waterfall engagement session they are clearly at peace in nature.

As we walked into the venue to set up our lighting, about an hour before the wedding day excitement began to unfold, the wedding planner greeted us with a warm smile and huge hug. Joy filled my veins and yes my heart was going pitter patter with happiness. I get excited when our couples choose to have a wedding planner. It makes the day so much smoother behind the scenes yielding a fabulous wedding day for our couples and their beloved guest.
I do realize that having a professional wedding planner adds to the already large cost of the wedding day, but trust me they are so worth it! If you are ..read more

We absolutely LOVE gorgeous venues, and even more then the gorgeous venue we LOVELOVE LOVE seeing how our brides transform the space to make it incredibly unique for their love story.
Ok… so let me be specific here, were not talking about bringing in a ton of decorations or overdoing the details because most gorgeous venues look best when the additional decorations are kept minimal. But having the ability to bring in one unique piece for the wedding can add warmth + a personal touch. Examples of this would be: a luxe reception lounge with beautiful cozy furnitur ..read more

Brandon and I adored shooting Erin + Davids gorgeous wedding day. The breeze was warm on St. Simons Island that beautiful afternoon as the salty ocean waves crashed upon the sugar sand beaches and love filled the air. Every little detail was perfect and breathtaking style adorn the entire ocean front home where their wedding took place. So of course I had to asked Erin what was one piece of advice she could share to a Bride-to-be. Her advice is simple yet so so important…
“Be sure to steal a moment or two alone with your groom during the reception ~ your guests w ..read more

One of our favorite moments at a wedding is when the flower girl and ring bearer walk down the isle. The guest faces just light up with joy and “Awes” can be heard filling the air. I mean really, kids are just adorable, God made them all that way. And from what parents tell me, “God made them cute to help us forget about how crazy they can be”;) Again, these are words from parents I know, not mine… but I totally believe them.
I recently received and email from one of our brides asking when was the best time to photograph the flower girl/girls + ring bearer/bearers. I ..read more

As wedding photographers we attend a plethora of weddings every year, each one unique and truly blessing. It is our job to capture that blessing as it unfolds in the moment; from the first look, the first kiss as husband and wife, to the first dance. The beginning of many first as husband and wife.
A few years ago we shot an amazing wedding where the Bride + Groom saved their very first kiss until the wedding day. Yes, you read that right. Not only were they chase, but they also waited to have their very first kiss on their wedding day. Talk about pressure t ..read more

The other day I was looking at our wedding album + reminiscing about our amazing wedding day. I can hardly believe it’s been 14 years and 7 months since we said “I Do”. Time has just flown by! As I was going from page to page of our album a few wedding day tips, I wish I would have had in advance, came to mind. We got married before we became wedding photographers, so now we know what we wish we knew then;) So I wrote them down to share.
* The First Look: When we got married a “First Look” was not even a thing yet. However, if we would have known about it we would have done one ..read more

As fait would have it Taylor and William met in Atlanta only to soon realized they both grew up in Alabama living only ten mins away from each other, talk about a small world. They most likely crossed paths several times without ever realizing it. But when it’s meant to be, it’s meant to be.
After four wonderful years of dating William made a trip down to a jeweler in Birmingham Alabama to craft the perfect ring for Taylor. While he was there he also met up with Taylors father to ask for her hand in marriage. Once the ring was created he had it shipped to a friends house in Atlanta for safe ke ..read more
