By April Hann Lanford A Question of Engagement Our client arrived with this beautiful antique portrait and a 19th-century gilded frame that they purchased from an antique store. At first glance it seemed to be the perfect match, however, the portrait width and height did not match that of the frame. The portrait was also stretched onto an underbuilt, weak strainer. We needed to figure out how to preserve the integrity of both pieces, yet pair them for a harmonious presentation. The 19th-century portrait upon arrival to our studio without a frame The frame arrived at the studio empty, a ..read more

During our recent collaboration with The Ryan Licht Sang Foundation, we completed this vitrine to display the double sided painting, Deep Running by Susan Martin. The painting is executed on both sides of the canvas and stretcher, as well as the tacking edge.  In order to properly present the painting, a traditional frame just wouldn’t do. We designed a tabletop acrylic vitrine to ensure that every detail in this spectacular piece could be readily seen and appreciated. The mount is reversible and allows for a full view of the piece without the interference of hardware or a f ..read more

There is a real wow factor when walking into the expansive Medline building. It’s apparent that this company has a strong understanding of “who” it is from the modern lobby lighting and furniture to the abundance of natural light from the windows that overlook the company vegetable garden to the squared chandeliers wrapped in the very same fabrics Medline uses for its nursing uniforms. When our partner Artmill received the call to create and install office art in the form of Medline’s company timeline, it was a clear opportunity for our businesses to help them fortify their company c ..read more
