As we get closer to finishing out the 2023 detecting season, the weather gets more unpredictable by the day. Today is December 4th and everyone involved wasn’t sure what to expect from the weather. For the past few days it has been +3 ish and raining constantly and yet on this particular morning the temperature had dropped to 0 degrees Celsius and felt like -4. Still, with the amount of rain over the past few days the ground saturated! It would prove to be the perfect conditions to finding some amazing treasures. Personally I was trying a different set up on my legend to start the day off. Nor ..read more

For our first end of year dinner and Award ceremonies I had decided to rent out the upstairs to the Treasure Island Waterfront Grill off HWY 2 between Kingston & Gananoque Ontario. This is the same marina that Erin and I keep our sailboat during the summer months. Their restaurant has some great food and friendly staff, plus they have a venue that I felt would be perfect for our club. I had also invited a few people from outside our area th ..read more

Dave had an idea of looking at an old 1800s Atlas which shows old buildings in the area from the late 1800s. After breakfast the three of us drove to a proper ..read more

Bucket Lister Find Bucket Lister Find On November 17th 2023 at around 7:00 AM I had just finished a night shift on the wolf island 4. On my way home from work I texted Ryan Pugh to see if he wanted to go metal detecting that day. Ryan didn’t get back to me until about 10:00 AM when he said he would be available around noon to go detecting.   I met up with Ryan at lunchtime we headed out to get a couple of coffees from Tim Horton’s And headed out to Gord Downie’s pier in downtown Kingston. We spent about an hour and a half at the man made beach where Ryan frequents quite often, I didn’t fi ..read more
