Auburn football took a giant step forward by landing several key additions to its wide receiver room. The most notable acquisition came from the high school ranks as five-star Cam Coleman signed with the program after being briefly committed to Texas A&M.
When a talented recruit signs with a team, there is always a chance that they could fail to live up to expectations. That is not the case for Coleman, as he ended A-Day as Auburn’s leading receiver with four catches for 92 yards and a touchdown.
Coleman’s first outing in an Auburn uniform was deemed impressive by many, including CBS Sport ..read more

Former Miami guard Wooga Poplar entered the transfer portal a few weeks ago following a very disappointing season for his Hurricanes. Despite himself and back court mates Nijel Pack and Matthew Cleveland combining for over 30 points per contest, Miami failed to qualify for the NCAA Tournament just a year after reaching the Final Four.
The junior from Philadelphia, PA is one of the more coveted transfer portal guards following a 13.1 points and 4.8 rebounds per game season in a difficult ACC conference, and while Auburn head coach Bruce Pearl doesn’t often pursue high-level transfers, the Tiger ..read more

Monday was an eventful day for Auburn football in terms of recruiting.
The Tigers lost three-star tight end commitment Hollis Davidson on Monday afternoon. Davidson committed to Auburn on Feb. 6 but felt he pledged too soon and ultimately elected to re-open his recruitment.
The disappointment was short-lived, however. Four-star linebacker Tyler Lockhart surprised Auburn fans by announcing his commitment to the Tigers late Monday evening. Lockhart’s commitment boosts Auburn’s 2025 as he becomes the fourth-highest-rated commit for the class, trailing DL Malik Autry, EDGE Jakaleb Faulk, and DL J ..read more

Auburn baseball fell victim to another long ball by one of the NCAA’s top power hitters, Drew Burress, early in Tuesday’s game with Georgia Tech.
However, Burress’ 21st home run of the season would only be a minor storyline as the Tigers managed to slide out of the flats with a 7-2 win over the Yellow Jackets on Tuesday at Ross Chandler Stadium in Atlanta.
Following his 1st inning home run, Burress recorded his second, and ultimately final, run of the game on a single in the 3rd inning to score Vahn Lackey and extend Georgia Tech’s lead to 2-0. Auburn went on to score seven unanswered runs to ..read more

Auburn softball begins its run at the SEC Tournament on Wednesday as the No. 10 seed in this year’s field, with their first matchup against the No. 7 Georgia Bulldogs at 4 p.m. CT.
The matchup will be interesting as the SEC’s home run-leading Bulldogs matchup with the SEC’s strikeout leader in Auburn’s maddie penta. As tournaments will tell you, it is not about which team is the best at the season’s end, but which team gets hot at the right time. Playing a road game at an SEC venue provides quite the challenge even to the toughest of competitors.
SEC teams have laid the standard of playing at a high level in their respective stadiums since the formation of the conference in 1933. The expectations will rise again in 2024 with the addition of Oklahoma and Texas, which also have a history of dominating opponents on the home front.
How difficult was it for teams to earn a road win at an SEC stadium last season? Three SEC teams: Georgia, LSU, and Ole Miss, finished their home slate with 7-0 records. Newcomers Oklahoma and Texas also enjoye ..read more
