Morning folks,
I make Muskie rods and my handles are about 5/8” - 3/4” on the ID of cork handles. I crafted a drill reamer with cutoff golf shafts, double sided tape and 80 grit sandpaper ribbon.
It works OK but quarter of the time something catches and the handle tears out. I roll with the punch and reorder and cross fingers.
Anybody with suggestions? I see a lot of cool reaming system tools that top out at 1/2”.
Thanks ..read more

Ive got a couple of old Allstar rods that arent worth 2.00 at a garage sale to anybody on earth except for me.
They belonged to my brother ( passed away) and I'd like to restore them and give them to his kids. Im thinking new guides, cork handle restoration and general clean up. The bones are good on these two blanks.
Anybody here do this type of thing , or point me in the right direction ?
Thanks ..read more
