Pics attached of a squashed micro guide: would it be possible (do ya reckon) to reshape the affected plain stainless-steel guide (using plain-faced pliers so as not to mark) to re-insert/slide/force the upper foot back into its original bound/epoxied socket and then add a bit of super-glue perhaps and/or some extra epoxy to refinish ? Havent got any further than doing the butt end of a rod i bought last year, a TDXS 133PM Am soon going to be endeavouring to replace the guides and white paint on the tip, replacing that with reflective tape though. Have looked around online to find rings and found a site that sells sets of rings, that closely match the rings on the rod. Although, the new set has one more ring than whats on the rod. Hi all, broke the tip of my Shimano spinning rod (STCSPIN2730H) five piece. Schoolboy error… chopped it off in the hotel door Approx 6 inches from the tip. what’s your thoughts on just cutting it clean and replacing with a new tip ring and leave the other rings as they are.
