Hello, I'm Arzel from France! I've been lurking the forum and decided to get my stuff out there. Right now, I'm building my portfolio and I'm trying to get good enough at what I do to lend me a job. I do 3D and 2D art, I'm contributing to the Beyond Skyrim: Morrowind mod and the amazing people there really helped me Here's a set of temple bells I did for the mod, I'm quite proud of it! However, I am and always will be open to critique. Huzzah ..read more

Howdy all, you don't know me but I'm Patrick, a deadbeat student in Australia who has been studying game art for a little over a year now. I like to draw and I guess I can model and stuff. I'm hoping if I start dumping all my stuff on here I can look back on it in years to come and realise how truly awful my work was. So by all means, critique to your heart's content. Teach me your ways. Anyways, here is some of my more presentable stuff that I've done in the past year in no particular order: This was one of my first pieces that I did on a wacom, so obviously I don't like it anymore. It's ..read more

This seemed like the correct place to put it but I'm new to posting on these forums so correct me if I'm wrong. I'm going to dedicate time every day for the next month to try and get better at sculpting faces, particularly female ones, as it's something I often WANT to sculpt but just haven't put in the hours to do. I'm also going to try and get better at stealing aka referencing pieces similar to what I want to achieve instead of just fumbling blindly. I'll figure out a template for how I post these daily pieces as I go along, this thread is hopefully enough to keep me obligated to this s ..read more

Been wanting to start one of these for a bit to share all of my artistic interests beyond 3D I've just joined the daily figure drawing challenge Kimodameshi for the month to push myself to keep up with at least some drawing while I'm 3D-pilled for uni so figured sharing my dailies from this commitment might be a good start for a digital sketchbook. Here's my figure study for day 1! (I turned her into Wii Fit Trainer because it seemed fitting - might just make each day a different character off the Smash roster, who knows) For this drawing, I concentrated primarily on getting the overall ..read more

Let’s start from the begining, if you check my Artstation profile I’ve worked several years creating an illustration portfolio with some 3D pieces, on October 2019, before pandemic, my wife and me attended to IluxCon 2019 at Reading, Pensylvania.    I had the honor to meet an amazing couple of sculptors, Colin and Kristine Poole, they were exhibiting some pieces of their collection. One night I had a small chat with Colin and he adviced me to try sculpture, he said: “Listen to the muse’s calling”; it took me 3 or 4 years to listen. My first digital character sculpt was the “Crimson ..read more

Or: Rima's pile of godawful studies. I'm quite out of practice with them; I've been fixating on anatomy in detail, worrying about the bones and individual muscles and such, but it's not good to do that too much, I think. Knowing them in theory, and being able to sculpt them right piece by piece doesn't matter much if sculpting a whole is where I fall apart. So I thought I'd try getting into the habit of some drills. Take some references for a pose, do as much as I can in 30 minutes. So those are from today. First one was while waiting for dinner to finish cooking, second was after that. I ..read more

Reserving this for posting progress and such. Critiques welcome, I have no formal training and have spent ~ 6 months aiming to be the Elvis of 3D.  Starting off with something very basic, but I've some major projects that will be coming in the next few months.
