Hey guys, I have been using a pair of KZ ZSN Pro X for ages and would like to upgrade to something better i use the spinfit cp145 tips and play music through youtube on a huawei mate 10. The problem i have is that the volume level on other iems is too low and i cannot use a usb c amp / dac as my phone does not allow usb c audio. I have tried a pair of CCA CRA and Moondrop Arias but the volume was too low and i sent them back. Any recommendations would be welcome for a price around or under $100 AUD. Hi, I am in the process of changing my MDR-XB1000 to dual removable cables. My current obstacle is how to remove curent cable from the small barrow/cylinder that it comes out of and second, how to secure the new jack into the small barrow(where the cable used to exit). Thanks to anyone for help. 5 posts - 2 participants Read full topic ..read more

Hey Folks, I’ve been wearing the audio-technica ATH-M50X headphones but find they start to hurt cause they push the top of the ears into the temples on my glasses. Any suggestions on headphones that are comfy for those of us using eyewear? TIA 6 posts - 5 participants Read full topic ..read more

Hello world! So this is probably my first baity title, but I won’t lie I’m suspecting foul play. Backstory: I bought myself Sony WF100-XM4 as Xmas present as my Redmi Earpods (which is a solid years worth of 40€, probably breaks after some time.) Mine were getting to eol as I’ve ran through my second pair as I cleaned and donated my first to a driver who was almost always calling whilst driving. I saw the review on the XM3s by LTT a while back and recently noticed a new version as the XM4s. I watched both reviews some times and came to the conclusion that I would respect the professional opini ..read more

Looking for some “ear clip” style headphones (something like these Sport2 Bluetooth Wireless Sports Headphones | 66 Audio) for use at the gym. I have tried the 66 audio and they have really good battery life but the controls are wonky (it would make sense to have volume up at the top while skip forward would be at the front etc) and the audio and Bluetooth quality is pretty bad. Currently I am using a pair of Koss KSC35 which have great audio (compared the 66 audio) but the battery life is really awful. Things I am looking for is great battery life, ear clip style (no in ear style as they don ..read more

Wolfeben's Thoughts on Moondrop Varations - Hi-Fi Waifu IEMs

A wise person once said sound is subjective. When it comes to the Audiophile IEM world, there is a vast sea of opinions, placebo effect, a lot of choices, and overwhelming feeling of not knowing where to start. When it comes to an In Ear Monitor, you can get a solid pair without spending a lot of money. Typically between $100 US to $250. This post however is not about IEM recommendations or where to start. I could write that but I really don’t have the time to do it. This about my month long experience with the Moondrop Variations. I had spent about six months researching on getting a replacem ..read more

I’ve had the same pair of hd 558 Sennheiser’s for about 5 years now, love them. MY problem is deep-mid bass is now causing a very bad rattle. I’m worried about getting new ones because these have been the most comfortable headphones ive ever worn. I love music and video editing so something flat is obviously gunna be good (pls no beats). I’m debating going to closed back as I’m very adhd so blocking sounds out is good for focusing. anything between 100-200 is very do-able, and from i can tell anything past that has a lot of diminishing returns. And any suggestion is a good suggestion as they a ..read more

Headphone base with plug 3.5mm 4-pin with headphone

Hi, I am having lots of remote meetings and wanted to be independant of a cable. First thought is to connect a bluetooth headset but bluetooth is and will stay blocked by the company owning the device which is a nano pc. So I am looking for a combination of headset (best would be mono like jabra motion) and a base station offering a simple plug 3.5mm 4-pin in order to connect to the nano pc. Do I have a chance? Where? Happy and grateful for any hint! Oliver 15 posts - 3 participants Read full topic ..read more
