Hello, I went for my second transvaginal ultrasound yesterday where I should have been a little over 7 weeks. They found my gestational sac had gotten bigger but there wasn’t anything inside it. He described it as a possible blighted ovum, but he wants to do another beta and see me next week. I got a call today that said my beta was rising but progesterone was a little low. Why did they prescribe that to me? It’s too late, isn’t it?

I have had three missed miscarriages. The first one wasn’t tested, but the last two tested positive for chromosomal abnormalities (trisomy 8 & monosomy X). My dr’s think we’re having bad luck, but I’m finding it hard to believe since we’ve had three losses. Curious if anyone else has had multiple losses from different chromosomal abnormalities and if you’ve been told what could be causing it / if anything can be done to prevent future losses?

I’m on my third loss within 6 years I have no kids yet of my own. My first loss was a twin pregnancy that was a missed miscarriage about a year after I got pregnant again but miscarried naturally shortly after finding out and now a few years later I got another positive it was right after the loss of my dad who took his own life. Everyone in my family knows of my difficulties getting and staying pregnant so I told my parents and my grandma who spilled to my sister and aunts which I was fine with. Fast forward to a few weeks later a day before my first appointment I start spotting and eventual ..read more

My first pregnancy ended in a MMC and I was frantically searching this group and others for people’s experiences and how to decide between a d&c, medication, or trying to wait things out and see if they happened naturally.
It was such an overwhelming experience and I wanted to start a thread for all women currently going through making these tough decisions and those of us that have already experienced it!
I’m 9 days post d&c and I still have questions! I think what we can share from our experiences is:
How was your procedure/lead up to it?
Did you have the fetal tissue tested? Why o ..read more

I wasn’t going to say anything about this because it’s honestly been so triggering but it’s just been getting worse and worse. I can’t help but feel 90% of the doctors, nurses, receptionist I’ve dealt with during this process have massively failed me. They’ve been SO unprofessional and SO insensitive and some just downright disrespectful. As if what we have to go through already isn’t enough this on top of it all has broken my spirits. I’m so disappointed and angry on top of all the grief.
Some of the experiences we’ve had that has made me feel this way:
I went into the A&E with constant ..read more

I had a d&c this past Tuesday (4/30) and recovery has been wonderful physically. I’m barely spotting at this point, no pain. However emotionally, I am a wreck. My hormones are all over the place. And I am craving intimacy with my husband more than I ever have. My doctor recommended 1-2 weeks before having sex. But I don’t know if I can last that long. Has anyone had sex sooner? I want the loving comfort and embrace of my husband so bad. I want to feel something other than sadness and emptiness. ?

I’m going to see my doctor as I’m actively miscarrying for the 2nd time. We’ve tried to have a baby for 2 years, and have gone through fertility testing. I have not done generic testing, but my partner has. All was good for him. Does anyone have recommendations on what we should ask the doctor?

First of all, I am truly sorry for anyone had to go through this. I had a miscarriage 2 days ago, it was a natural one without medication or D&C. My baby stopped developing after 6 weeks and gestational sac was 9 weeks. It was a painful 5 hours and I passed a lot of blood clots and tissues. Yesterday was kind of a heavy period with mild cramps. However, today a light cramping is still here and I passed mini tissues again. When I read about it online it says usually takes a day. I just need an advice from anyone dealt with this, how long bleeding with mini size of tissues is normal. Not bl ..read more

For those that had a miscarriage after seeing a heartbeat - were you ever able to get answers on why? Scheduled a d&c to test the embryo but wanted to hear from others on this sub as well
For context: IVF with PGT (euploid) HB at 6+0 (110) HB at 7+5 (160)

I got my first BFP on April 21 (easy@home, FRER, Clearblue digital), lines were progressing beautifully the whole time
HCG 04/23 - 67 (labcorp on demand) HCG 04/25 - 174 (labcorp on demand)
First HCG in clinic (via Quest) 04/29 - 1163
And went to labcorp 48 hrs later 05/01 - 1514
Went to the clinic to have my HCG again and 2 hours later went to labcorp for the same.
The same day HCG results from different laboratories within 2 hours difference.
05/02 Quest - 2563 05/02 Labcorp - 2086
HCG is still growing but it’s not doubling. I’m desperate and sure that this is a miscarriage.
