Start tomorrow
Read lots of books, and then do nothing (read just 1 book and actually do something)
Take advice from poor people on how to get rich
Pick a spouse who will make you feel guilty for working (don’t put your power in to someone else)

Blame your circumstances (thank your circumstances for creating you. Your mess is your message. How sad would it be to wish for a life of ease? Strong character is caused by to ..read more

This morning I woke up with severe back pain. So sore, I ended up spending an extra 2 hours lying in bed...
This used to be my reality every single day. I'd be in so much pain that I'd just stay in bed all day.
A combination of obesity and endometriosis causes this pain, so I figured doing my exercise would be a good thing. I did both workouts and felt way better afterward.
One surgeon told me I couldn't have surgery because my BMI was too high
Another told me that becoming pregnant would reduce my symptoms???
One doctor told me that this wasn't that complicated, I just needed to be in a calo ..read more

2 years ago, I was in a real mess. I was super depressed, suicidal and I hated life.
Despite being the deputy head girl of my school, I hated my school and this was a huge source of mamae for me.
I remember trying so hard to "just talk about it" like so many people encouraged. I approached one of my teachers about wanting to leave school and go to uni, because I was so unhappy. He told me I'd definitely fail if I were to leave.
I was at a super low socio-economic school. Teachers were absolute shit.
I had come from a prestigious catholic school and was experiencing a lot of culture shock.

Give the ultimate gift this Christmas.
Forget the long list of presents to buy. Ditch the Christmas wish list. This year, I want to challenge you to be brave and different.
Personally, I’ve always thought that Christmas was a huge opportunity for shops to make heaps of money - whilst not really thinking about the core whakaaro around what christmas really is.
Some people get really anxious when the holiday season comes up, especially if you know that you can’t afford to make ends meet, let alone buy presents for people. After the record cost of living this year, I don’t blame you.

My 20th Birthday is coming up.
I’ve been reflecting on the last 20 years and the things I have learnt. I decided I’d share these with you all because some of them are really important.
Always have backup putea. My grandma never ate her apple cores - she ate these when she ran out of food. She also never spent her last $10. Adjusted for inflation - we need to be keeping a minimum of $1,000 as an Emergency Fund.
Be careful who you trust. Trusting the wrong people can make you lose money.
It’s easier to not get accustomed to cool things than it is to un-acustom yourself from cool things.

Tropical Cyclone Gabrielle hit New Zealand with the anger of Gods, destroying an entire region - not just homes but education centres, Marae, shopping centres - everything that makes a community gone in the span of a few hours.
In desperate support are the people of the East Coast region, who are continuing to suffer at the time of this blog, as weather forecasts predict more days of rain coming.
Tangoio Marae, located a 30 minute drive north of Napier, was not isolated in its destruction. In the picture to the left, it is clear by the thick layer of sludge left behind, how intense the floodi ..read more

2022 was a tough year for many families across the country. Inflation rates were higher than your worst nightmare and interest rates just kept on increasing.
As a young woman, this was my first full year of taking care of myself financially and so I didn’t have much to compare it with, however, feedback from my Podcast ,Maori Millionaire definitely showed that more Maori were struggling to make ends meet each week.
There are three things I like to encourage everyone to do during the new year, to ensure maximum success with money. I always start with the basics:
